Chapter 22:

Simamkele's pov:

I'm woken up by a cry. It's been a hectic few weeks. I look besides me and my angel is crying. I rub my eyes while picking her up and switch on the side lamp.

"Hello baby,are you hungry?" I ask her while I shush her. She is super cute. I couldn't take my eyes off her after she was born,she's still so tiny and pink. After she finished throwing her little tantrum I smelt her nappy and it was definitely a bomb. Mom walked in

"I heard her cry" she said taking her from me.

"Mom you don't have to wake up,I've got it all covered"

"You're a first time mom,you deserve some rest" she said,giving her back to me so I can feed her. I took out my breast from my t-shirt and fed her. She sucked on it until she fell asleep. Mom changed her nappy while I tried to get back to sleep. She was honestly a life saver. I really was tired but I wasn't about to admit it

I'm woken up by my alarm. I had a test today so I couldn't miss school. I was lucky enough that the school allowed me to do online classes while I'm at home. Unfortunately you couldn't write your tests online so I had to go there physically. It's been 5 weeks since I gave birth to my beautiful Chloe Simthandile Browns. My stomach hasn't gone back to normal,not that I'm expecting it to without any proper exercise. Chloe wasn't in my bed,mom probably took her. I made the bed and cleaned up my room a little. I was a bit messy than usual now that Chloe was here. I took a shower after pumping some milk for Chloe. One thing I hate about post pregnancy is the bra that you have to wear so your boobies don't leak. I wore jeans and a baggy t-shirt. I combed my curls out and let them hang today after spraying them with water to revive them. I may hate most things about myself but I definitely have beautiful hair.

"Morning" I said to Olivia whom I found in the kitchen

"Hey you,breakfast?"

"Yes please I'm starving" I say already salivating at the thought of food. She made us breakfast and we got into her car,which she got after graduating. Before leaving I just had to give Chloe a thousand kisses. Olivia dropped me off at school. There was 15 minutes left before the test. I was panicking because I hadn't been studying properly. I decided to just go in and face my fears head on.

Tears form at my eyes as I think of the paper I just wrote. I'm currently sitting at the cafeteria,trying to calm myself down before going home. I'm waiting for Snothando to finish so we could go to the mall. I know I did my best but i have this constant fear that I won't do good enough.

"Hey,are you okay?" Oh no. I knew this boy way too well-okay,maybe from what I've heard. Jake-the school's football captain

"Uhm yeah" I look up at him because I was sitting down

"You're bad at lying" uhm sir???aren't you supposed to be nonchalant? What does he want from me? I won't sleep with him

"I'm really fine,thank you"

"You're welcome I guess,see you around" he left without further explanation. So he didn't want anything? He's really got me confused. My mind darts back to Mr ego. He hadn't texted me and I really wish he did. I needed some action in my life.

"I'm sorry for making you wait" she says coming up to me. I smile at her

"It's okay"

"Are you okay?" She asks softly. I nod giving her a small smile. Lucky enough for me she doesn't push the situation. We arrive at the mall and she gets Chloe some clothes. I'm really grateful for her. We pick a restaurant for lunch. Sam and Lilly come by. I've gotten quite used to them but I don't think it's safe as of yet to assume we're friends.

"She came alone?" Sam asks Snothando and we giggle "we aren't here for you,we're here for Chloe" she says

"She's too young to be out of the house Sam" I tell her and she rolls her eyes making us laugh. They sit down and order their drinks.

"So..." Snothando starts off looking at all of us. We look at her in anticipation "Boo and I decided that we'll only get married after I graduate" I gasp

"That's after two more years Snothando" I state

"I know,but we're not in a rush"

"When are you telling your dad that you guys live together?" Lilly asks concerned

"He doesn't have to know" she says giggling "the only problem would be my brother,he likes showing up unannounced"

"Your scrumptious brother" Sam says closing her eyes. Why haven't I ever seen her brother?

"No,eeeuw" she says rolling her eyes "besides he's way younger,if anyone could date my brother it would be Mila-age wise"

"But your brother is hot and him being a soccer player makes him hotter" Lilly states wiping her hands.

"Next topic" Snothando says making us laugh. We have a few drinks- which are nonalcoholic for me because I'm breastfeeding. After having a lot of fun,I catch a ride home from Snothando. I change my clothes and find Chloe with the babysitter. I greet and cuddle my baby as she plays with her pump. Chloe was born with a heart defect,the doctors don't know what it is yet but there are tools we use just to help her with breathing. My heart bleeds for my baby,she's probably having a hard time.
