Everything I went through, I had finally reached the beginning of the series. My letter came in the mail telling me of all the things I needed for my first year at Hogwarts. I accepted it and only took a quick glance at it just to make sure I hadn't missed anything. I needed to go get a wand, but otherwise I had everything I had needed.

I had been going to Flourish and Blotts for years now reading all their books, which with my reading and memory skills made it so I could even write the books word for word if needed.

I was as prepared for the story line as I could get, including a safe house you could only enter with a portkey which I kept on me at all times. I had become the richest man in the muggle world by playing the stock market and had even paid the taxes the American government had told me to. I had bought a large amount of realty all over the world and had rented them out in order to generate even more income and had even became the CEO of a number of basic resources companies ranging from mining to lumber and others.

I had been tested by the American ministry of magic to see if I was using divination in order to cheat the system, but they all came back negative. Apparently I don't have much skill with seeing the future. It probably helped that the British ministry of magic was very protective of me and had all but told me I could get away with breaking any law I wanted so long as I could come up with a reason for it.

It was pointed out that I am very intelligent and it was decided that I was simply using my own smarts to make educated guesses. After that it was dropped since even a muggle could do what I was doing if they were smart enough. I've got to say, the wizarding world really looks down on muggles a bit to much. It is honestly bordering on thinking of muggles as less intelligent than dogs and this thinking is going to get the wizards left behind or outright killed.

I went to Diagon alley and checked up on the store before heading off to Olivanders. While on my way there I spotted a young Harry Potter in patched up clothes coming out of Olivanders clutching a box which must have held his new wand. Next to him was a giant of a man which I recognized as Hagrid. He had come by a few times for potions and I had talked to him about animals and what not.

"Hello Hagrid." I greeted him politely before turning to Harry. "This must be Harry Potter. I had heard you were in Diagon alley from the rumors in the pub."

"Why ello Alex." Hagrid greeted me with a smile. "What are you doing here?"

"I've come to finally get a wand." I pointed at Olivanders behind him. "I'll be attending Hogwarts starting this year so I'll be in your care."

"I see, I amost forgot you'd be about that age now. With how you act and runnin your own business I forgot you were just a lil one yet, though everyone's a lil one to me ha-ha." Hagrid let out a booming laugh.

"Hello." Harry politely greeted me slightly hiding behind Hagrid.

"Hello Harry." I held out my hand to him. "My name is Alex Hale."

"Aye, this here be the young owner of Hale Stone Harry. It's that potion shop over yonder what has all them folks going in an out like a bunch a kelpies in the seaweed." Hagrid pointed out my shop down the road.

"Are you really?" Harry asked with a glimmer in his eye. "That's pretty amazing."

"Well we all have things we are good and bad at and getting a head start in life is always a good idea."
