After a while we reached Hogwarts and went to the great hall where Mad Eye was introduced along with Tonks who winked at me. She had apparently insisted on coming once she learned I would be there. I noticed that Mad Eye wasn't happy to have Tonks there, but I didn't care to much since I already knew it was Barty Crouch Jr. in disguise.

Everyone was excited to learn that Hogwarts would be hosting the tri wizard tournament this year.

After the feast we all went to our common rooms, Tonks of course followed all of us into our room and was going to be staying with us while she did her job, which was apparently protecting students and learning from Mad Eye. Not that he cared since it wasn't him, he was probably happy as could be to have her distracted with me.

After that, a month went by and it was time to greet the other schools. We all stood outside and greeted them as they came. When Fleur and the other members of Beaux batons appeared I felt a slight burning sensation on my chest where I had gotten the mark from my trials. I saw Fleur grimace a bit before rubbing the inside of her thigh and looking around at the students gathered before stopping on me. I met her eyes with a grin and winked at her causing her to frown and turn away. Hermione elbowed me and glared before whispering that Fleur had best be the last one or I'll regret it.

The rest went as normal with the age limit being set and Ron and Harry fan boying about Krum. Hermione tried to set up her group for freeing the house elves, but I stopped her by having her have an in depth conversation with Salt about why house elves wanted to be enslaved. I also told her how house elves can't be without a direction to work in or they end up having a panic attack. It could actually kill the house elves if they were free without a purpose.

She gave up on freeing them and instead decided to focus on giving them better treatment, it was much more successful and I would occasionally see people with pins.

I went into the great hall in the night using my shadow cloak skill and saw Jr. putting in Harrys name into the goblet. I went forward and balled up a sheet of paper I had written my name on and tossed it into the goblet from across the line.

The next person to come was Cedric Diggory who put his name into the goblet. I figured it might be something like this. I muttered to myself. I had figured that Cedric got chosen either because he was the actual best choice or it was because he caught the last dregs of the spell used to make sure Harry was chosen. Now I know it was from he last dregs, though he is also one of the best choices as a potential champion. Unfortunately, I'll have to take your place to save your stupid pretty boy life. God, just seeing his face makes me want to hit him for being so good looking. I had to die and make a deal to get a face this good, who the hell did he deal with?

I left and ran into Fleur outside the great hall.

"Oh, why hello Ms. Delacour." I greeted her. "Here to put in your name, the great hall is empty now if you want to go in."

"Don't give me that, Alex Hale. You know why I am here."

"Here to become my wife right?" I grinned at her.

"No, of course not you bad man." Fleur said angrily. "Our grandparents may have made us engaged, but I am still trying to break it off."

"How's that going for you?" I asked with a smile.

Our grandparents had known each other for their entire lives and were close friends. They were both part of the six families that were slayers. Before my grandparents died from Greybacks trap they had engaged me and Fleur after I was born with the condition that I had to become the next head of my family and be a good provider, both of which I was.
