I left Ororo's class, feeling like I'd been lectured for hours on the dos and don'ts of teaching. She meant well, but sometimes her way of explaining things could make even the most patient person's head spin.

As I walked down the hallway, I spotted Lia near the library, her nose buried in a book, those cute reading glasses perched on her nose. I couldn't help but grin.
She looked so focused, so absorbed in whatever she was reading.  My mind drifted to the mission we had coming up and the moment we shared before it got cut short. I wanted to talk to her, maybe pick up where we left off.

But when she noticed me, she quickly looked away, grabbed her stuff, and bolted for the bathroom. I stood there, confused. Usually, she'd give me a smile, a wave, or even a smartass remark. What was up with her? I shrugged it off, figuring she was still on edge about her brother. It wasn't like her to act so skittish.

I made my way to the kitchen, hoping to find something to take the edge off. "Hey," I called out, my voice echoing slightly in the empty kitchen. "Got any beer?"

Bobby looked up from yogurt he was eating at the counter, his expression a mix of amusement and exasperation. "This is a school," he replied, shaking his head.

"So that's a no?" I asked, heading towards the fridge.

"Yeah, that's a no," he replied quickly.

I sighed, "Got anything other than chocolate milk?"

He signaled with his hand to the right, "There should be some soda in that small cupboard."

I walked over to it, grabbing a Coke. The can felt somewhat too warm in my hand.

I glanced at Bobby, recalling his unique ability to manipulate ice. "Hey, kid," I said, holding out the can. "Think you can chill this for me?"

With a small, knowing smile, Bobby took the can from my hand. He exhaled a frosty breath onto it, instantly freezing the soda inside, and handed it back to me.

I accepted the can, feeling the icy coldness seep through my fingers. "Thanks," I muttered, popping the tab and taking a long swig. It wasn't beer, but the cold burn as it went down my throat was good enough for now.

"No problem," Bobby replied, turning back to his yogurt.

I chugged down the rest of the Coke, feeling a bit more at ease. It wasn't exactly what I was craving, but it would do the trick for now..

Bobby raised an eyebrow, concern etched on his face. "You alright?"

I shrugged, trying to brush it off. "Yeah, just... woman problems." My voice was gruff, masking the turmoil inside. "So you and Rogue?"

He let out a sigh, his shoulders relaxing a bit. "We're good, just... minor problems getting in the way."

I nodded, keeping it short. My head was a whirlwind of emotions, and I didn't have the energy to unload on this kid. Bobby's gaze sharpened, and he looked at me more intently. "You know, I've seen the way you look at Dr. Azali."
