I woke up with a start, blinking against the dim light inside the Blackbird. It took me a second to realize where I was, and then another to notice that I was leaning against Logan, sharing a blanket.

My heart skipped a beat, and I quickly scooted back, trying to put some distance between us. How the hell did I end up falling asleep on him? I glanced around the plane. Everyone else was still asleep, including Logan, except for Jean and Scott up front, who were quietly conversing.  Jean caught my eye, and a mischievous grin spread across her face. She winked at me, then made a heart with her hands.

I rolled my eyes and mouthed, "You're such a child," but I couldn't help the small smile that tugged at my lips. Jean laughed quietly and turned back to Scott.

My eyes drifted to Simon, who was still sleeping soundly. Relief washed over me; the last thing I needed was for him to see me snuggled up to Logan. I sighed and leaned back, trying to shake off the awkwardness.

Just then, Scott's voice came over the intercom. "Alright, team, we're about to land. Time to wake up."

Everyone started to stir, groans and mumbles filling the cabin. Logan shifted beside me, pulling the blanket off and stretching. I avoided his gaze, focusing instead on buckling my seatbelt and preparing for the landing.

As the Blackbird descended, I couldn't help but steal a glance at Logan. He was staring straight ahead, his expression unreadable. I wondered what he was thinking, but I didn't dare ask. Instead, I turned my attention back to the window, watching as the ground came closer and closer.

We started to file out of the Blackbird, the cool forest air hitting me as soon as we stepped onto the ground. I glanced around, taking in the dense woods surrounding us.

Simon squinted at the sky and asked, "Why is the sun still setting?"

Is he serious?

Logan rolled his eyes. "Because we're in a different time zone, dumbass."

Before Simon could retort, the Professor's calm voice cut through the moment. "Don't start, Logan language." He then turned his attention to me. "Lia, I need you to cloak the Blackbird."

I nodded, focusing my energy. A red aura began to emanate from my hands, enveloping the plane. Slowly, it started to blend into the surroundings, transforming into what looked like an ordinary tree. I let out a breath I didn't realize I'd been holding.

"Well done, Lia," the Professor said with a nod. He turned to address the team.

"Each hotel room is located at least seven miles from each facility. Here are your maps." He handed out pairs of maps to everyone. "Discuss your plans on how you will enter each facility, distract or disable guards, and your exit strategy. Study the inside of the buildings carefully. First thing in the morning, we will head there."
