021: THE DAY BEFORE YOU CAME

༊*·

"We've got a minute left!" Luther slammed his fist down on the dumpster in the alleyway.

Harper was standing beside Klaus, who was now laying on the ground, staring at the sky, Ben having gotten him here and then un-possessed him (though he puked two or so meters away from where he was currently laying). Klaus, Ben, Five, Luther and Harper. No one else was here.

"Diego had Aimee." Harper said, as she watched the end of the alleyway, and crouched down, pushing some of Klaus's hair off of his sweaty face to try and comfort herself more than him, honestly. "You don't think anything happened, do you?"

"No, it's just that my idiot brother can't handle a simple task." Five began pacing. "A simple task."

"What's going on, Harper, are we going somewhere?" Klaus questioned.

"Just give yourself a minute, love, you'll remember."

"It was handed to us on a silver platter!" Five complained.

Luther shook his head. "I can't believe this."

"Can you just moan a little softer, please, my head is killing me." Klaus sat up, holding his head.

"Listen to me, you useless puke bag!" Five hissed at him. "We just blew our chances of saving the world."

"Hey, it's not Klaus's fault!" Harper looked at them. "He's here, he's not the useless one."

"I feel like you said something different before." Klaus continued holding his head.

The briefcase that Five had, which must have been their way home, began whiring, making him curse and throw it into the air, where it vanished in a portal, similar to the one that brough them there in the first place.

"We were that close." He muttered. "That close."

"Now what?" Luther asked.

"Now nothing, Luther, make your peace with God!"

"What? What about Allison and Vanya?"

"Screw them both, they should've been here."

Harper looked at them, holding her knees. "What about Diego and Aimee? He had Aimee with him, what if something happened?"

"Screw Diego, alright?" Five kicked a cardboard box. "Screw everybody! I was better off on my own in the apocalypse!"

"Five!" Luther looked at him. "Come on."

"You know what, Luther? It's every sibling for himself, now. How about that?"

And with that, he walked away, and back into the TV store.

Klaus sat up, sighing. "Did Five just get meaner?"

Luther looked at them. "Klaus, Harper - go check on Allison, make sure she's okay. Find the others and bring them here, alright? I'll handle Five."

He vanished after Five.

"Come on." Harper got up, holding her hand out to Klaus, who took it. "We need to find Diego and Aimee."

He grunted as he took her hand and got up,  and then pointed to the pile of puke. "And you have had your possession privileges revoked!"

"I regret nothing. You'll thank me soon enough." Ben's voice said. "So will Harper!"

"Ben, get out of the puke." Harper said, as she began walking towards the road.

Klaus followed her. "Stay out of me!"
