sleepover

The brunette looked around the familiar room, somehow more nervous than ever. Izzy knew nothing was happening. She was just sleeping over in his room like she did weeks ago when she got drunk. This was no big deal.

Still, it felt like a big deal.

"You can sleep in this," Hyunjin proclaimed, handing her a pair of his gray shorts and a black shirt. "If it's too big, I can find something else," he assured her, opening another one of his drawers. "And here's your towel."

"Thank you," she mumbled, tightly holding onto everything he gave her. "I'll go shower first, then." Hyunjin nodded to her, a simple "go ahead" leaving his lips before he closed his closet. "If anything, just yell, and I'll be right there. Or behind the door, I guess," he corrected himself. Izzy smiled, feeling more at ease now. "I'll be quick," she proclaimed, placing a quick kiss on his cheek before she ran away, leaving him frozen in his place.

Hyunjin had to blink a few times to register what had just happened, his eyes unable to look away until her figure disappeared from the room. He breathed out, jumping onto his bed. He wasn't sure how he would survive the night with her around.

Hyunjin looked up at the sound of a knock, noticing his roommate at the door. "Hey," he greeted him, Felix's "Hi" following right after. Felix was in his room, probably playing some games as Hyunjin assumed when the two of them came, so they hadn't seen each other yet.

"Is Izzy staying for the night?" The blue-haired male questioned, his eyes falling on her hoodie on the chair. "Yeah," the older male nodded. "You don't mind, or..?"

"No, it's fine with me," Felix shook his head at him. "Should I go sleep somewhere else, though?" Hyunjin was the one shaking his head this time. "You don't have to. We will stay in my room and watch some shows, so it's almost as if we weren't even here."

"Okay, if you say so," Felix laughed, looking around the room once more. "I came here to ask how your date went, but I guess I have my answer." Hyunjin smiled, slightly nodding. "I think it was great. She was adorable." The younger male chuckled again, happy for his best friend. "So, are you going to ask her to be your girlfriend?"

Hyunjin hesitated, not because he wouldn't want to, but because he wasn't sure if she wouldn't come back into the room any second. He stared at the door for a good second before he glanced at his roommate again, nodding. "I have a plan," he stated. "I wish you good luck with that then," Felix said, somehow proud. "I'll leave you alone then. We can talk about your girl tomorrow," he teased him, quickly disappearing from the room before Hyunjin could say anything to him.

Hyunjin thought he knew what to expect. He was the one who gave her those clothes to sleep in, after all. But still, when he saw Izzy walk into his room, a towel in her hands, he thought he could die right then and there. Sure, you could call him a simp, but could anyone really blame him? Who wouldn't feel like fainting when the girl they have the biggest crush on wears their clothes?

"Are you okay?" The brunette wondered, placing the used towel on his chair. "Is something wrong?"

"Definitely not," he shook his head. "That was an answer to which of my questions?" She raised her eyebrow at him, stepping closer to him. "Both," he answered, grabbing her hand and pulling her closer. "You look gorgeous." Izzy scoffed, rolling her eyes at him. "Have I ever told you you are a pervert?" Hyunjin looked to the side, pretending to think before he glanced at her again, nodding, "I think you did, actually."

The brunette laughed, shaking her head at him before she messed his hair, stepping back again. "Then how about you go wash up, hm? Only perverts would look at girls they aren't dating like that."

"Like what?" He tilted his head innocently. Honestly, he was driving her insane just as much as she was him.

Izzy bit her bottom lip, not saying anything and just watching him. Eventually, she couldn't hold eye contact with him anymore and turned away, searching for her phone instead. "Just go wash up," she mumbled, ignoring the chuckle she heard escape his lips as she grabbed her phone from the table, her cheeks red.

"Alright, I'll be right back," Hyunjin assured her, leaving the room before she could turn around and face him again. The brunette exhaled, sprawling on his bed. She opened her phone, her eyes falling on the new notifications she had from a group chat with her girlfriends. She whined when she saw what the conversation was about, slamming her head into a pillow.

"IZZY HOW DID YOUR DATE GO??"

"Tell me you kissed him"

"Also where are you sleeping rn?"

"Oh my god are you sleeping at Hyunjin's??"

"NO WAY"

Izzy turned her phone off, not answering any of their questions. She knew she was red when she touched her cheeks, realizing they were burning. She didn't mind her friends learning about things like these. She usually told her best friends about every date she went on, no matter if she had never seen the other person again or not, but this time, it felt different. It felt more real.

She felt like a little girl again, freaking out over a crush. He wasn't her boyfriend, and yet, she found herself blushing at all times because of him. He had gotten into her head, and she wasn't sure how long she could last pretending she wasn't head over heels for him.
