shoe sizes
It didn't take much longer for the two to arrive at the bowling alley, already seeing their friends divided into groups. To their surprise, there were only a few people beside them, making it available for them to take four lanes without reserving them earlier.
"Hey, you two!" Felix waved at them when he noticed them as he walked towards the bench to sit down after his turn. "Took you long enough!" He laughed. "You can borrow shoes there and order drinks there," he called at them, pointing at different places in the bowling alley.
Hyunjin nodded to him, turning his head towards the shorter brunette again. "What drink do you want? I'll buy it for you," he asked, not paying any attention to how Felix - or any of their other friends - were looking at them at the moment. All he could see was her.
"Any soda is fine," she answered, doing her best to hide her smile. "What's your shoe size? I'll go get both of our shoes since you're buying the drinks."
Izzy couldn't hold back her smile anymore as she walked towards the shelves with shoes on the side. He was looking at her as if she was a picture in a museum.
She shook her head when she realized what she was doing, trying to get the smile off her face. Even though she already accepted the fact she likes him, she still didn't want to become one of his crazy fangirls who giggled whenever he just smiled at them. It was true she did feel like that sometimes too though.
"Hello," she said casually, stopping in front of the counter. "Hello," the boy smiled at her. "What can I do for you today?"
"I need two pairs of shoes, please. Size 250 for me and 270 in men's," she requested, making the blond look at his computer immediately to mark it down. "Are you here with the group there?" He wondered as he put it into the system. "Yes, those are my friends. I hope they didn't cause much trouble coming here unannounced...Huening," she added after reading his name tag.
"Thankfully we had a different group cancel last minute so we could fit you guys in," he proclaimed, looking up again. "And just Kai is fine," he smiled, again. "You can pick your shoes. They should be in the two bottom shelves. If you guys need anything I am here or Taehyun over at the snack bar can help you, too. I hope you'll have fun, Izzy."
"You know me?" She stopped before she could even turn around towards the shelves with the shoes. "Who doesn't know you," he chuckled, shaking his head. "Are you a Seiseki student?" She asked immediately, realizing that's the only way he could know her. "Year two, class C, nice to meet you."
"Oh, you're in class with Amy!" She realized. He simply nodded to her, agreeing. "And Jisung."
"Right," she nodded, smiling. "You should join us sometime. I'll make sure Amy lets you know too the next time we are hanging out," she promised, finally walking over to the shelves to pick the shoes. "I'll see you later, Kai," she smiled at him one last time, slightly waving at him before walking away.
"Were you flirting over there?" Amy teased the brunette when she walked over to them. "No," Izzy rolled her eyes at her, putting down the two pairs of shoes as she sat down on the bench, looking towards the snack bar to see if Hyunjin was already coming over, too. "Why not? Kai is cute," the black haired girl wondered, sitting down next to her. Obviously she knew what her reason was, she already had a different boy she liked, but she still wanted to hear it from her.
"I am going out with Hyunjin," Izzy admitted, not really caring. It wasn't like she was planning on hiding it away from her. "I knew it," she scoffed proudly, patting the brunette's back. "Thanks for telling me though. I hope you two work out, y'all are weird together, but cute."
"Is that supposed to be a compliment?" She asked, not sure what to take from that sentence. Were they weird or cute? "You are cute," Amy repeated, making sure the younger girl knew she meant it in a good way. "But enough of him now, we are here to play. You are going to join our lane, right? With him too, of course," she added, rolling her eyes when she saw the question in Izzy's eyes.
"Your lane is literally the only one with two empty spots, why are you even asking," she chuckled, shaking her head as she took down her vans to put on the bowling shoes. "True," Amy chuckled too, glancing over at the lane. "You can go after Seungmin actually, the three of us went already," she informed her, pointing at the screen with their scores. "I am winning so far," she grinned.
"Not for too long when I am playing now too," Izzy smirked, standing up to join them. Hana and Minho were standing behind Seungmin, watching him as he played. "You're gonna miss," Minho said at the last minute, causing Seungmin to lose focus and miss his chance completely, making Minho laugh immediately.
"You're a bitch," Seungmin commented. "Thanks," the older male chuckled. "You're behaving like two kids," Hana shook her head at them, feeling as if she was babysitting them again. It was unbelievable how childish grown people could act. "I see," Seungmin said, walking over to her. He grabbed her hand as he stood next to her, kissing her cheek, knowing that it would shut her up. Not like he would ever want her to shut up, but he knew she wouldn't think of him as a child again if he did so.
"Cute, but move aside, I am going to show you how it's really done," Izzy proclaimed, quietly laughing at her two best friends. They were the definition of goals in a relationship.
