Mingyu gently lifted your chin, encouraging you to meet his gaze. His eyes were warm and earnest, contrasting with the tense atmosphere around you. "It might not be easy for you to believe," he said softly, "but you're my mate."

You looked up at him, your eyes wide with confusion. The reality of the situation was overwhelming. "We're a wolf pack," he continued, trying to make it clearer. "And you're my mate. The Moon Goddess chose you for me. My forever."

His words hung in the air, adding to your bewilderment. The concept of being someone's "mate" was foreign to you, and the idea of being chosen by a Moon Goddess was something you could hardly grasp. The confusion and fear on your face were evident, making Mingyu's expression soften even more.

You stumbled backward, your heart racing as you felt a chill of pure horror. The gentle yet firm grip of Mingyu was abruptly removed as you pushed him away, the shock of his words reverberate through your mind. Your hangover, which had once been your primary concern, now seemed insignificant compared to the the current situation.

With trembling hands, you wiped your tear-streaked cheeks, trying to regain some semblance of composure. "Wh-what are you even saying? Look, I need to go home," you stammered, your voice barely above a whisper. You cast a desperate glance around the room.

Mingyu took a hesitant step forward, his eyes filled with a mix of concern and pain. But as he reached out to you, your voice cut through the tense atmosphere. "Don't you dare come near me. I'm going home. That's enough of you," you said, your tone sharp with anger and frustration.

The firmness in your voice and the defiant way you picked up your heels made it clear that you were determined to leave. Mingyu's heart sank at your words. The situation had taken a turn he hadn't anticipated.

He understood, even if it pained him deeply, you were human. This world of wolves, with its complex rituals and unexplained phenomena, was foreign and frightening to you.

Seeing you so determined, Mingyu took a step back, his own frustration and helplessness echoing in the hollow space between you. He knew you needed time to process everything, but it was hard to bear the thought of losing you when he had only just found you.

Mingyu took a deep breath, trying to steady his emotions as he approached you again, though at a more measured pace. His voice was softer now, laced with desperation and a hint of urgency. He can't let you go outside.

"Please, just listen for a moment," Mingyu said, his tone gentle yet firm. "I know this is all overwhelming, and I can't imagine how frightening this must be for you. But there's something you need to understand. I can't let you leave, not like this."

You looked at him with confusion and now anger evident in your eyes. "What do you mean you can't let me leave? I have to go. I don't belong here, and I don't want to be any part of this."

Mingyu sighed, his shoulders slumping slightly as he struggled to find the right words. Your deniel was killing him every time a little bit. You were supposed to stay with him. "It's not just about what you want. It's about your safety. You're... you're imprinted as my mate. That means, to rogues, you're now a target. If I let you go out there alone, without protection, they could come after you. They'd see you as a vulnerability."

Your eyes widened in shock and confusion. "Imprinted? What are you talking about?"

He ran a hand through his hair, clearly frustrated. "I... Look, I'll tell you everything neatly, however you can't go out yet."

Mingyu watched as your emotions shifted from fear and anger to something even more unsettling-laughter that was both disbelieving and manic. It was clear that everything was pushing you to the edge. Sure you were afraid of this many people in this house but it's crossing limit now.
