Mingyu carried you back into the room where you'd woken up earlier. His patience was thin, but he still tried to approach you gently.
"Listen," Mingyu began, his tone softer this time, "I know this is a lot for you to take in, but I'm not the enemy here. You just calm down and I swear, I'll explain everything."
You crossed your arms and glared at him. "Enemy or not, I'm not staying here. You're all insane. I'm going home."
"Just hear me out," he said, trying again to get through to you, but you weren't having it.
"Wolf pack? Really?" you scoffed, rolling your eyes. "What's next? You'll tell me you howl at the moon every night and chase your tails? Look if you have some serious mental health issue I can recommend you a good psychiatrist. You're such a handsome young man."
Mingyu's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenching. "That's not how it works-"
"Sure, sure," you interrupted, sarcasm dripping from your voice, "you're the 'big bad wolf' and I'm supposed to just be your little fairy, right? Please. The same mate nonsense from last hour."
That comment hit a nerve.
Mingyu stepped closer, his towering frame casting a shadow over you, his expression darkening. "You don't get it, do you? This isn't some game. You're my mate. Do you think I want to deal with your attitude right now?"
You huffed, turning your back on him. "I'm not anyone's mate, least of all yours. You're just-"
Before you could finish, Mingyu's patience snapped. In one swift motion, he grabbed the door and slammed it shut, locking you inside.
"Enough," he growled, his voice low and commanding. "If you won't listen, you're staying here until you do."
You turned around, eyes wide in shock. "You can't just lock me in here!"
"I just did," Mingyu said coldly from outside.
You banged your fists against the door in frustration. "Let me out, you-"
"Save it," Mingyu cut in, turning his back on the door, his voice audible as he walked away. "You're not going anywhere until you stop acting like a brat and listen."
Inside, you fumed, pacing the room as you cursed his name under your breath. Outside, Mingyu's hands clenched in fists, trying to calm the storm of emotions swirling inside him. He knew locking you in wasn't the most diplomatic move, but at this point, he was out of options.
Mingyu huffed in frustration, running his hand through his hair as he walked away from the door, trying to calm himself. He had enough of your resistance for one day. Meanwhile, from the other side of the door, your voice rang out, determined and furious.
"Let me out! This is illegal!" you shouted, banging on the door with all your might. "I'll call the police on you! You can't just keep me locked up like this!"
Mingyu shook his head, muttering under his breath as he paced away. He tried to ignore the constant sound of your banging and yelling, but it was impossible. You were relentless.
"I swear, I'll press charges!" you continued, not letting up. "You're going to regret this!"
Mingyu reached the bottom of the stairs, rubbing his temples. He could hear your fists pounding on the door even from there.
"Keep banging all you want, sweetheart," he shouted, rolling his eyes, "no one's coming to save you out here."
You kept going, undeterred. "I know my rights! You can't just keep me here like some prisoner! Let me out!"
