I started class again on Monday and had the two (including this one) last chapters already written but I don't know if I can continue at this rhythm (2-3 chapters a week) anymore. I'll see if I still have time but I'm really not sure. I'm going to try but I'll probably be around 1-2 chapters a week.

I know it's going to cost me a little (especially in the rankings) but I have no choice here.

Anyway, enjoy this little filler

oh and also this chapter is mostly smut so : ⚠ SEXUAL CONTENT WARNING

I didn't marked it this time because it's pretty much all the chapter  (don't thank me) but for those who want to skip it's fine just imagine Max and Renee want home and had a nice birthday/valentine's dinner.

... February 14th... Renee is in Los Angeles – Week four of the tour

Max's POV

It's been almost an hour since we got home. The high from the night still lingers, making everything feel dreamlike. We talked about the night for a little while, cuddling on the couch and Renee left to take a shower while I cleaned the house a little. I still can't believe what happened tonight.

I hear the water stop upstairs, followed by quick footsteps in the direction of the dressing room. Renee's getting dressed, and the thought of her makes my heart race. I take a deep breath and head toward the staircase, climbing up to our room—the same floor as the bathroom and the dressing room where Renee is now.

I walk towards the dressing room door, and just as I'm about to squeeze the handle, the door opens. It's her, of course it's her.

Her hair is damp, clinging to her face in messy strands, a towel loosely draped around her shoulders. She's fresh from the shower, her skin glowing, slightly flushed, and smelling like that coconut soap she always uses. My breath catches, she's just perfect.

I don't think; I pull her towards me and close the door behind her, pressing my body against her quickly. I break away but stay close. She says nothing, I say nothing. Our eyes are fixed on each other, our skins almost touching. I feel her breathing quicken, mine follow and our bodies recognize each other.

I put my hand on her lower back to get her closer but I feel something buzzing underneath my touch.

"Your phone is buzzing" I mumble against her lips.

"Leave it" she whispers, her voice low and breathless.

Her lips find mine again, and the phone stops buzzing. I grab her again, lower this time, ready to carry her toward the bed. But the phone buzzed again.

"Answer it, Ray," I sigh, reluctantly pulling back. "It must be important if they're calling again."

She groans softly, her forehead resting against mine as she pulls away, reaching into her back pocket to check her phone.

"It's Adam," she says, glancing at the screen with a slight frown.

I smile softly, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "It's okay. Go ahead. I'll start making lunch," I say, leaning in for one last kiss before heading downstairs.

Renee's POV

"I'm arriving a bit in the middle but that's it, I've finished working" I announce as I walk into the kitchen. Max is at the counter, focused on cutting carrots, and the rhythmic sound of the knife tapping against the cutting board fills the room.
