SEAFOOD LOVER

As lunchtime approached, the students made their way to the dining hall at the Marine and Fisheries center. The aroma of freshly cooked fish filled the air, heightening their anticipation for the meal ahead. The dining area was beautifully set, with an array of dishes showcasing the day's catch, prepared in various styles to suit every taste.

The students filed into the dining hall, their excitement palpable. Long tables were lined with platters of fish cooked in a variety of ways—grilled, fried, steamed, and stewed. Each dish looked more appetizing than the last, with vibrant colors and tantalizing aromas promising a delightful culinary experience.

Sophie, having found a seat with Avery and her friends, eagerly surveyed the spread. Her plate quickly filled with a selection of different preparations, each one tempting her taste buds. The students began to serve themselves, savoring the freshness of the fish and the variety of flavors.

As Sophie dug into her meal, she noticed Avery watching her with a keen eye. He had picked up a piece of grilled fish and was carefully removing the bones before placing it on her plate. His attention to detail was evident as he expertly removed the tiny bones, ensuring her meal was free from any unexpected hazards.

Sophie looked up, surprised by his gesture. "Avery, thank you so much for taking out the fish bones. You really didn't have to do that."

Avery smiled, his expression warm and genuine. "It's no trouble at all. I just wanted to make sure you enjoyed your meal without any issues. Besides, it's kind of nice to help out."

Sophie's eyes softened with appreciation. "Well, I really do appreciate it. It's a small thing, but it makes a big difference. The food here is amazing, and I'm glad I can enjoy it without worrying about bones."

Avery nodded, taking a bite of his own fish. "I'm glad you like it. The chefs here do an incredible job. And don't worry, I'll keep an eye out for any more bones if you need."

Sophie laughed, her gratitude clear. "Thanks, Avery. I'll be sure to watch out for them, but it's nice to know I have a backup plan."

As they continued their meal, the students chatted about their experiences at the Marine and Fisheries center. The fresh, expertly cooked fish was a hit, with everyone savoring each dish and discussing their favorites.

The lunch break provided a perfect opportunity for the students to relax and enjoy the fruits of their morning exploration. The shared enjoyment of the delicious food, combined with the camaraderie and light-hearted conversation, created a pleasant and memorable dining experience.

By the end of the meal, the students were content and well-fed, their energy renewed for the remainder of the day's activities. Sophie and Avery, having shared a moment of kindness and laughter, felt their bond strengthen, making the day's adventure even more enjoyable.

As the sun began to set, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, the buses departed from the Marine and Fisheries center, heading back to the retreat house. The excitement of the day had taken its toll, and the students were visibly tired from their various activities.

Sophie, having had a full and eventful day, found herself drifting off to sleep as the bus rumbled along the road. Her head lulled to one side, and she struggled to stay awake, her exhaustion evident.

Avery, seated beside her, noticed her struggle. Seeing how uncomfortable she looked, he gently shifted closer. With a considerate touch, he carefully guided her head to rest on his shoulder, ensuring she could sleep more comfortably. His actions were tender and respectful, reflecting his genuine care for her well-being.
