As the evening sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over Neverland, Michael and Anica returned home. The familiar comfort of their shared space welcomed them, but Michael had something weighing on his mind. After helping Anica settle in their bedroom, he watched her as she moved about, still oblivious to what he was about to say.

"Hey," Michael said softly, sitting on the edge of the bed. Anica, brushing her hair in front of the vanity, looked at him with a curious smile.

"Yeah?" she asked, not sensing the seriousness in his tone just yet.

He hesitated for a second, trying to find the right way to approach the subject. "I've been noticing a few things... you've been really tired lately, and those cravings—sweet and sour with peanut butter—it's not exactly normal, don't you think?"

Anica blinked at him, still not catching on. "Oh, I guess I've just been extra hungry? I mean, you know how much I love food." She laughed lightly, as if the thought hadn't occurred to her at all.

Michael's lips twitched into a small smile, amused by her innocence, but then he gently pressed on. "Babe, you've also been throwing up a lot. That's... more than just a craving."

She turned to face him fully, tilting her head in confusion. "Yeah, I guess I have... but what are you getting at?"

Michael stood up, crossing the room slowly until he stood right in front of her. His hands rested on her arms, grounding her as he spoke softly. "Anica, I think—maybe, just maybe—you could be pregnant."

The words hung in the air, and Anica stared at him for a moment, blinking as if processing them in slow motion. "Pregnant?" she repeated, as though the idea was completely foreign to her. "But... how?"

Michael chuckled under his breath, shaking his head fondly. "You know how."

Her eyes widened slightly, realization dawning on her. "Wait, you mean—"

He nodded, watching as the pieces finally fell into place in her mind. Anica's cheeks flushed, and she suddenly seemed flustered, her hands fluttering to her stomach as if she could feel the change already. "Oh my God, Michael! Do you really think... I mean... could I be?"

"I think we should find out," he said, his voice warm and reassuring. "Why don't we take a test?"

Anica nodded, still dazed but growing more excited by the second.

Without another word, Michael grabbed his phone and called Bill. "Bill, I need you to pick something up for us right now."

Bill's voice, though muffled, could be heard on the other end. "Sure thing, boss. What do you need?"

"A pregnancy test. Immediately." Michael's tone was firm but full of excitement.

Bill paused for a second before bursting out, "Right away, boss! I'll be there in no time!"

As soon as Michael hung up, he turned to Anica, who was sitting there, her face flushed with disbelief. "Michael, you really think I'm..."

He nodded, placing his hand gently on her cheek. "We'll find out soon."

The wait for Bill seemed endless, though it was only twenty minutes before he arrived, the test in hand. "Here you go, boss," Bill said, his smile wide. He couldn't contain his own joy as he handed it over.

Michael thanked him quickly and closed the door behind him. Turning back to Anica, he saw her fidgeting nervously on the bed. "I'm scared," she whispered, looking up at him with big, unsure eyes. "What if it's not...?"

Michael knelt in front of her, taking both her hands in his. "No matter what, we'll face it together."

She nodded slowly, her heart racing, and took the test with trembling hands. Disappearing into the bathroom, the next few minutes felt like hours for Michael. He paced the room, running his hands through his hair, excitement bubbling inside him. His mind was flooded with images of what their future could look like—a baby, their family. He was ready, more than ready.
