"We're on the plane taking a detour to Texas before heading back to Illinois Kate is right here watching a movie" I say turning my camera to her and she smiles.
"We're only spending 3 days here and 5 days in Illinois I've never been is it as boring as you say?" I ask "I never said it was boring" she giggles. "Kate what do you mean you've told me so many times that growing up there was so lame" I tease.
"Shut up" she giggles "anyway Kate is so excited to be in my city she said she's moving here when she's done with the w but that's in like 50 years but plans for today are go home rest a little get ready and go to dinner at my parents restaurant Kate didn't go last time so she'll be trying the food today."
"Yeah I am and I'm so excited to try it am I gonna be able to go to the back where they're cooking orrr" she asks "why would you...?" "I've always thought that it was pretty cool like basically vip type vibe you know" she giggles "do I get infinite supply of drinks?" "Definitely" I smirk.

"Mm does this look good?" Kate asks coming up from behind I turn to get a good look. "Oo you look real good I love the outfit" I say. Kate was wearing a black tank and black cargos with some white shoes and she looked really good. "Obviously you picked it out" she says making me grin.
"Compliments to the chef" I curtsy "trust the girls are going to go crazy over you" "only matters if you are" "mmhm feral over you Kate Martin now can you grab my camera please" I say making her hand my camera over.
"Okay guys so this is my outfit for tonight" I say walking to my mirror. "So this top is from princess Polly it's so cute love the lace and then these jeans are from cavenders and my boots are tecovas...Kate come."
Kate makes her way behind me and i scoot so the camera can see her outfit in the mirror. "My top is from Zara and then my pants are from Zara and then I have some Nikes" she says.
"Picked out by yours truly" I smile "yep she did a good job" she says kissing the top of my head making me smile.

"Hey yall" as my family becomes a clearer view from afar. "You girls are here" my dad says as we get closer. "Hi dad" I say giving him a side hug before hugging the rest of my family. "And there's our all star girl Kate congratulations" my dad says hugging her.
"Congrats Kate you're officially the coolest person I know" Bianca says making me turn to her. "Gee it's an honor" Kate says reaching her hand to her chest.
"Hi mija congratulations we're so happy for you" my mom says hugging Kate. "Thank you... Bell had told me you guys called as soon as my name got called I really appreciate you guys watching" she smiles stepping away finding her way back to my side.
"Are you kidding Paul here was so excited he hosted his golf buddies" Logan chuckles. "Dad are you so serious" he shrugs "I was excited she is the coolest person I know now" he shrugs making us all laugh.
"Okay let's head in I'm starving" Bianca says. We all head in and head to our reserved booth and take a seat. "Kate said she's scared that she won't like the food" I sat placing my camera down as it's already recording.
Kate gasps turning to me "I did not say that I love Mexican food I'm sure everything is going to be delicious" "you have nothing to worry about the food is delicious we have the best cooks" my mom reassures her.
"Best food you don't have to worry" "i hate you" Kate giggles. "Hiii guys girls it's been so long nice to see you guys all together what can I get you guys to drink?" Paula the waitress asks. "I'd like a frozen margarita" my mom says "yes me too" Bianca says. "A piña colada for me two cherries please" I smile before turning to Kate.
"I feel awkward if I get a drink" she whispers to me "they won't mind everyone's probably getting one" I shrug. "She wants an ultra" "you want a cup with ice?" "Yes please" Kate smiles.
"Who's driving home?" Kate asks turning to me "it's just one" I shrug. "Oh okay" she sighs. "We're going to the photobooth" i tell the table.
"You guys have a photobooth?" Kate says standing up. "She said it'd attract the cool people" my dad chuckles. "It's really cool cmon" I say getting ahold of her hand and leading her to the other side of the restaurant to the nook where the booth was with a couple of people standing around and waiting for their turn.
"How does one even acquire a photobooth?" "I have my ways" I shrug leaning into her. "Can we go into the kitchen after?" She asks making me giggle "what is with you and that dang kitchen...yes I will take you to the kitchen"
It is finally our turn to take pictures and I tap my phone on the payment reader. We both sit down get comfortable "it's four pictures okay we gotta make this good" I say turning to her she simply nods and smiles.

We had just gotten done eating and talking about anything and everything that came to our heads and we had ordered a cheesecake as our desert for the whole table.
"Aw these are so cute" Bianca says looking at the two strips. "That middle finger doesn't look cute" my mom says eyeing me making me giggle "it's the only thing that came to my head" "mhmm seguramente."
"So Kate do we get like seats to the games or like how is that going to work?" Logan asks. "Logan!" My mom scowls. "We are talking for everyone here" he tells my mom.
"Well first I have to see if I make the cut onto the team of course" "which you will" my dad chimes making us chuckle. "But if I do then for sure" she shrugs "you're like the pro athletic child my dad never had" Bianca jokes making me laugh.
That is actu-" I start before getting cut off by post malones 'congratulations' playing all throughout the restaurant and a handful of bottle girls coming out with sparklers a bottle along with the big sign saying 'Money Martin to the LVA congrats!'
I look over at Bianca who was already recording and we burst out laughing. I pull out my phone and start recording the people in front of us and then pan over to Kate who had a shocked expression on her face.
"Oh my goodness this is too good" I turn to Kate and we both start giggling as she covers her face with her palms for a couple of seconds.
The people wrap it up and we all settle back down after all of the commotion. "Yeah you're definitely his pride and joy" Bianca laughs.
"How was that?" My dad asks making my sister and I laugh once again. "I think that was amazing....espectacular work thank you very much I was very surprised I loved it though" Kate giggles.

"Sooooo" I giggle hopping into bed as Kate is already tucked in. "So?" "What'd you think of dinner... was it too much I had no idea by the way I don't know who obvious-"
"I enjoyed I loved it actually so don't worry your family is really growing on me they're so kind like I met them a couple weeks ago and look at how supportive they are.. they gifted me a casamigos bottle I'll probably have to keep it here but the thought that counts."
I sigh and smile relieved that she didn't think they'd gone a bit overboard. "Thank you" she says kissing my cheek before we head off to sleep.
