Dreaming of Us

In a crowd, you're the one I see,

Like a dandelion, standing free.

You catch my eye, you hold my mind,

And now, love's all I can find.

I'd go through hell just to see you smile,

Cause you make it all worthwhile.

What is it about you that draws me in?

It's like you've got this magic within.

I've never been this obsessed before,

But now you're all I'm living for.

I keep hoping you'll notice me too,

And look at me the way I look at you.

I smile at you, waiting for a sign,

Hoping one day, you'll be mine.

But deep down, I know it's not true,

You hate me, and it's nothing new.

I'm just a girl, plain and shy,

But to me, you're the guy.

I know I'm not what you want,

But to me, these feelings just haunt.

I keep dreaming of us together,

But I know it's a fantasy, forever.

Still, every day, I show up here,

Even though you're nowhere near.

I'll keep wishing, keep dreaming,

Even if it's just me believing.
