Why Would Someone Be Afraid of Losing Me?

Why would someone fear losing me?
I'm just the girl who's always around, The one who listens without a sound,
But maybe that's too easy to see.

I'm not the one who stands out loud,
Not the star of the show, just part of the crowd.
I fade into the background, blend in too well,
And maybe that's why they never can tell.

Would they notice if I walked away, Or would it just be another day?
I'm always here, but even I can leave,
So maybe they should take a moment to believe:

Someone should be afraid of losing me, Because I'm more than what they let me be.
