In My Head, We're Together

I see you with your friends, having fun,

And I wonder if you ever think I'm the one.

Or am I just invisible, standing still,

While you're out there, chasing your thrill?

Sometimes I catch myself staring too long,

Wondering if this crush is right or wrong.

But then I remember, it's just how I feel,

Even if it's a dream that'll never be real.

I daydream about what we could be,

If you ever noticed someone like me.

But then I laugh, shake my head,

Cause I know it's all in my head.

You've got that smile that lights up a room,

And every time I see it, I feel the boom.

My heart races, my mind's a blur,

Wishing I was the one you'd prefer.

But I'll keep this crush tucked away,

Just hoping for that one day,

When you might see me, not just through,

But really see me, the way I see you.
