Heartbeats in the Rain

It was a cloudy day, just us two,
The sky was dark, kinda like you.
Your eyes, so deep, I couldn't look away,
Their beauty left me speechless, what could I say?

The clouds above, swirling and wild,
Matched the storm in me, like a love-struck child.
The thunder rolled, in sync with my heart,
And the rain played music, a work of art.

I sat there, just watching you from afar,
You didn't notice me, just who you are.
Laughing with friends, so full of life,
While I was stuck, lost in my strife.

I wish I could tell you how much I care,
But I'm scared you'll never even be aware. 
I'm just the girl sitting in the back,
Knowing you'll never love me back.

(okay, so in the second line I'm relating the sky to his personality and NOT his skin colour cause he is not even black. I showed it to one of my friends and she was like "ayy u racist". I'm not racist, guys. 😭)
