Bonus Chapter - Vacation Part 3

"So how did the date go, did I live up to your expectations?"

Inside the restaurant, you find everyone turning their attention to you. Jonas takes your hand in his, and you give his a reassuring squeeze, his face is hard from feeling uncomfortable by all the attention. Jonas pulls you with him, walking to the counter where Savannah is standing with Malik.

"So a shark, huh?" Malik looks at you in disbelief, then turning the computer at the counter towards you, showing an article they had found about the incident.

"A megalodon." Jonas tells him and looks at the article.

"Yeah.. that's one hell of a shark." Malik says still in shock. "And you killed it. You saved so many people."

"Not everyone." Jonas mumbles. Malik and Savannah share a sad look, noticing your sad expression, before speaking again.

"But you saved it in time for it not to kill more, a lot more could've died if it weren't for you."

"I guess." Jonas says with a sigh as he reaches for his wallet. But as he's about to get his card out, Savannah stops him.

"No need." She tells him.

"Oh, come on." Jonas says annoyed. "You don't need to thank us like that."

"As much as I wanted to refuse for you to pay, the dinner was actually already payed for when I walked back in." She then point to a group of people who have been watching intently, they wave and smile. "Those over there saw you walk in and went to the counter to tell the waiter to put your tab on theirs. So they're the one's paying." She tells you.

"That's nice, we should go thank them." You tell Jonas, but before you get the chance they have moved and walked over to you. "Oh, hello. Thank you." You tell them as they reach you. One of the guys shakes Jonas hand and a girl envelopes you in a hug. "Oh!" You wrap your arms after your initial surprise.

"Thank you." She says as she lets go of you. You don't really know what to say. "We were there." She then says. Jonas head whips to her and you open your mouth but nothing comes out.

"We were there when it happened, it was total chaos. We were luckily on land when it came, but we had just been out in the water before." Her husband says.

"There were a lot of casualties, but if it weren't for you, it would've gone way worse. So thank you."

A waiter then gives the card back to the guy who paid for your dinner.

"As much as we want to hear about this, I believe we should let these two finish their date, that are apparently way over due." She winks at the two of you, and Jonas takes your hand again.

"Thank you, for the dinner." He says looking at the group that payed, then look at Savannah. "It was absolutely divine." She bows in thanks. He then looks to Malik. "And for the help to set up everything, Malik."

"You're welcome. Enjoy your stroll back to the hotel, remember the path i showed you?" He asks Jonas, who nods in answer. "Have a lovely walk Yn. My love and I took it back after our first date too, she lived not far from where the hotel is. It's beautiful, especially at this time." He smiled lovingly at his wife, who returned the expression.

"Thank you for everything." You tell them and let Jonas guide you out.

Jonas and you walk hand in hand back to the hotel. Talking about the interaction you just had and the food, other topics. Just enjoying each others company.

When you reach the hotel and get out into the elevator you turn to him, finding him looking at you with so much love and admiration.

"I love you." He whispers and you gasp slightly.
