Sun's P.O.V

Moon has been hanging out with Monty for a while now, and I can't help but get the feeling that something is up. Ever since Moon started being friends with Monty, Moon just stopped cuddling me at night and would just put me in my room. And yes, I do think that it's better to have a little bit of distance between us because, when we first met, it wasn't exactly.. pleasant... but before his room was built, he would just sleep in my room, and almost every night, we would just talk for hours! But now I barely talk to him, the only time we can really talk is when we're working. And when I get the chance to talk to him, one of the kids needs me for something so I'd have to go help them. And when I would come back, he would be occupied doing something else. I sometimes find it so hard to talk to him. He's one of the sweetest things ever if you get to know him well. And now that Moon is with Montgomery all the freaking time, I NEVER SEE HIM! He will come back to the daycare really late sometimes and will just take me to my room to go to bed and charge. I try to talk to him, but he normally just ignores me, grabs my cheek, and smiles, pulling my face a little closer to his. "Look, I know I'm not here that much, but I will talk to you soon, I promise." I nod, looking at him. 

The next morning, I heard my alarm go off, and it surprised me since I had forgotten to turn it off. That was because today was me and Moon's day off. I was SO happy. Maybe I could talk to Moon today. Just then, I was on the balcony with my legs hanging off the edge, and my arms propping my upper body to sit up, then I saw him slowly inching his way out of his room and walking over to me. He sits down next to me and crosses his legs. "Morning.." he said with a minor growl. I had eventually learned that in Moon's voice since it's so low there is always a little growl every time he talks. So he sometimes just sounds angry when he's not. "Morning Moony!" I exclaimed, I was so happy to finally talk to him again.

"Hey, Mo-

We had said at the same time. 

"No, you go first. It's fine!"

"No, you go first. It's fine!"

We laughed, Moon crossed his arms, still laughing with me. "Heheh, Hey, look.. I'm so sorry I haven't been talking to you lately. I've just been so busy with Monty, and now that I'm thinking about it, that's no excuse.. I shouldn't have shut you out, I'm sorry. " 

"Oh, Moon! It's alright, I promise"

"Speaking of promises, I think I owe you one, OKAY! So.. uhm.. uh.. ah.. " 

"Moon? Are you sure you're okay..? You seem distracted..?"

Moon's P.O.V 

Goddammit! Why do his eyes have to be so fucking cute?! I keep getting distracted by them. Shit! Sun looked at me with utter confusion. 

"Moon, what the heck is wrong with you?"

"Sorry! I'm sorry... I just.. REMEMBERED that... I... needed to talk to you......?" I didn't mean for it to come out like a question, but beggars can't be choosers. 

"Oh? What about?" God fuckin' dammit! I keep screwing this up!

"Well, like I said.. I was talking to Monty.. and I..." I went silent. Sun was concerned, and I couldn't blame him because I was too. I had no idea how to tell him that I like him.

"Well if you’re not going to tell me, then I'm just going to ignore that, and start talking... So yesterday I was with Chica and we... -" Sun just kept talking and dismissed what I had said. "So then we went to the Raceway, and Roxanne was there and...-" He always looked so happy when he talked, even to people he disliked. He would never his voice at anyone really. It's another thing I love about him. And his smile gets me everytime, all I can do is just stare and admire his gorgeous face. 

"-and I guess he's kinda cool and... Moon are you 100% sure you are okay..?"

"Huh..?"

"Well, it's just, you were staring at me and I di-"

"Yes, I was just trying to engage with you"

" Engage?"

"Be in the conversation, and listen to you" 

"Oh" 

We sat there in silence for a few seconds. I wanted to hug Sun or something, but I didn't know if it would come off creepy or not. But all of the sudden I felt my hand being touched, and I realized Sun was now holding my hand. His cheeks were flushed with a pinkish red color. It looked cute on him. I was so focused on Sun's face I didn't even know I was blushing until Sun said something,"Hey, you're kinda blushing" 

"You too." I mumbled, I then held Sun's hand a bit tighter but still making sure I wouldn't hurt him. 

"Moony, do you like me..?" 

The question rang in my ear as I tried to comprehend what he asked. "I uhm.. I guess I.. you.. uh.. " 

"It's okay if you don't. I understand why, I just.. want to know.. please?" 

"Uhm, well I.. " I didn't know what to say because if I told him 'yes' then maybe he'll stop being friends with me and hate me or something. But I say 'no' not only would I be lying, but he could end up not liking me forever, even though I love him so much. And I don't want to lie to him, ever.

"You know, this was a mistake. I'm sorry, I won't bother you anymore.." Sun then got up leaving me still sitting down in the same spot and started to walk away. 

Sun's P.O.V 

I felt like an idiot. Why would I ask him that? Of course he doesn't like me, that's why he was hesitant. I'm so stupid! He would never like me the way I like him. I bet he was only blushing because he was uncomfortable, and didn't want to tell me. I walked away really fast, so he couldn't see my embarrassment. But then I felt my leg being grabbed before I could get far. "Ss-Sun...." I looked back at him, and he had a sad look on his face.. "I- *inhale* I'm sorry.." He let go of my leg, and I turned back around to walk away again. I was so confused, why would he grab my leg and apologize? I kept walking to my room. And we didn't really talk for the rest of the day.. After a while he went to Monty's and he didn't even say goodbye. I did something wrong, didn't I? 

Gosh, this one is probably my favorite so far.. I can't believe this only 1174 words, I'm literally crying I didn't sleep at all last night 😫
