Sacrifice

"What did you bring?" Deaton asks as they all gather around the tubs filled with ice cold water. Stiles raised his fathers badge. "Um, I got my dad's badge. jennifer kind of crushed it in her hand, so I tried hammering it out a little bit. Still doesn't look great."

"It doesn't have to look perfect if it has meaning." Stiles looked back down to the badge in his hand as he trassed his finger over the badge. 

"Is that an actual silver bullet?" Isaac asks Allison who's holding one of her father's bullets. She nodded. "My dad made it. It's kind of a ceremonial thing. When one of us finishes learning all the skills to be a hunter, we forge a silver bullet as a testament to the code." 

"Scott?"

He holds up a watch. "My dad got my mom this watch when she first got hired at the hospital. She used to say it was the only thing in their marriage that ever worked." 

Luna felt that one. The look on his face as he said it was all to familiar to her. If you were to put that quote on her family she'd say the only thing that ever worked in her parents marriage was their perfect daughter, Lydia. 

"Okay. The tree of you will get in. Each of us will hold you under until you're essentially, well, dead. But it's not just someone to hold you under, it needs to be someone who can pull you back, someone with a strong connection to you. A kind of emotional tether." Deaton said making Luna and Allison glance at eachother. 

But instead of going to Allison she went the opposite way to Stiles, when she got stopped by Deaton. "Lydia, you go with Stiles."

"Are you sure? I mean, he's my best friend." Luna asks unsure of why Lydia would go with Stiles, only last year she couldn't stand the guy. She knew lydia and Allison had a connection and she herself had one with Stiles. 

"Lydia goes with Stiles and you go with Allison." He pushed me back to my place next to Allison as Lydia walked to Stiles. 

The tree walked over to the tubs and carefully step into the ice cold tubs and sit down. The others take their places behind them. Luna leaned down to kiss Allison on her cheek. "I'll be right here waiting for you, okay?" Allison nodded, shivering from the cold water. 

All tree shared a look before Scott nodded his head giving them the sign to go and one by one they submerge into the water.

All of a sudden the water splashes across the floor as Scott, Allison and Stiles pull themselves up and out of the water. "I saw it, I know where it is." Scott said as all tree of them got out of their tubs. 

"Yeah, We passed it. There's was this stump. This huge tree. Well, it's not huge anymore. It was cut down, but big tho, Very big."

"It was the night we were looking for the body." Scott said and Stiles nodded. "Yeah, the same night you were bit by Peter." He confirms. 

"I was there, too, In the car with my mother. We almost hit someone." Allison says and Scott looks at her suprised. "It was me. You almost hit me." Scott says before he turns to the others. "We can find it."

"What?" Allison asks when she sees Luna's smile fade. 

"You guys were out a long time." Luna answers her, causing all tree of them to look to the windows. 

"How long is a long time?" Stiles asks being the first one to realise what's going on. 

"Sixteen hours."
