Pov Luna: 

When I woke up this morning I felt dizzy and had a headache, but mainly I just felt weird. I guess I just feel tired because of everything going on. Thinking I could get at least a bit of rest from it all, I decided to go to school and keep an eye on Scott instead of going to find answers with Allison and her father. 

Turns out it was no different and I ended up following Scott to his house. I know he's trying to keep us away for our safety, but someone needs to look after Scott too and right now that person is me. 

So I got out of my car and I start knocking on his front door. "Luna, what are you doing here?" Scott wonders as he steps aside to let me in. "Can't I check up on my friends?" I ask shrugging. 

Before he could ask me another question we hear the doorlock turn and Scott's dad walks in. 

"Well, what a surprise this is." I say. I find it surprising this dude still has a key to the house. After he left and never seemed to have wanna come back. 

"What are you doing here?" Scott asks his dad. "And why do you still have a key?"

"Funny you mention keys. Because whilst I have a key to this house, I'm not exactly sure how you got a key to my office." He opens his laptop showing a picture of Kira and Scott in his office. "Let me help you out here. This kind of thing usually begins with something along the lines of, it's not what you think or I can explain."

"Dad, let me help you out. You need to leave."

"I will. With a satisfactory explanation."

"Go get a warrant."

"I don't need a warrant. I'm your father."

"I can tell who's getting the worst dad of the year award and for once it isn't mine." I say before I go over to the window. I smile to myself when I see Melissa walking up to the door. 

"No, you're a gene donor. I got my hair color from you, And that's all I got. So you're not allowed to play tough dad with me."

"Hey, what's going on?" Melissa asks as she walks in. 

"Maybe one of you should explain."

"You know I would love to, but you see we've got better things to do so you should just leave seeing as nobody wants you here." I say as the sun goes under. When I turn around I see one of the dark figures in the room. 

"Who the hell is this?"

"Dad, no!" Scott warns as his dad steps towards the figure. "Dad, wait." Just then the figure stabs Rafael and Kira lets out a scream. The figure pulled the sword back and Rafael fell to the ground. When it looked our way suddenly the door flew open and Derek ran inside. Reacting quickly me and Melissa pulled Rafael to the side. 

"Mom, the ash!"

As Melissa went to get the ash, I runs to stand in front of Kira as an oni came up behind her. I kick the oni pushing it back slightly. The moment I do the windows behind me smash and the twins land beside me and are growling at the oni in front of me. 

As the twins fought the oni, I made sure to push Kira behind me. I saw the way the oni's were looking towards Kira and I knew it was her that was next.

Derek, Scott and the twins had succesfully gotten the oni's outside, all except the one that was now standing right in front of me as I was still shielding Kira. I quickly duck as a sword swings my way and when I got back up I kicked the oni away from myself and out of the door. 

"Mom, now! Do it now!" Scott shouts as Melissa runs over to the door throwing mountain ash in the door opening forming a seal around the house. 

"Nice kick!" Aiden commented.

"Thanks." I say giving the boy a little smile. I must admit the boy has grown on me. Of course I still prefers his brother, but after all I have to get to know the both of them as Aiden is dating Lydia. 

As Derek and Scott were checking on Rafael it left some room for the twins to figure some things out. 

"It's Kira ,right? You gonna tell us what you are?"

"What? What do you mean?"

"Aiden!" Ethan warns his brother. 

Being the person he has always been he roughly takes Kira's wrist to bring it up to the seal. When her hand touches it a blue glow grows around her hand. 

"See!"

"That you're an asshole, yeah we can see...  Now get your nasty hands off of her." I say as I go stand in between him and Kira.

"She can't go through it either. So, What are you?"

"She's a kitsune, idiot." Derek says as he walks over to us. "Use your eyes. You can see it all around her. the younger ones give off an aura. She just hasn't learned how to conceal it yet. She probably doesn't know what kind she is either."

I read about them somewhere, the kitsune's. I just never saw a picture of one so I had no clue Kira could be one. There are 12 kinds of kitsune. Celestial, wild, ocean, thunder, But there is one, a dark kitsune... They call it Nogitsune. But there's no way Kira could be that kind of kitsune, she's not evil. 

"I wasn't going to hurt her." Aiden tells Derek. 

"Not yet." Derek replies.

"Why do you think we're here, Derek? For a study group?" Aiden asks. "We're here to protect Scott." He says answering his own question.

"We're trying to fight for him." Ethan adds on for his brother. 

"I'm sure you are." Derek says looking over to Luna. "I'm sure you'd kill for him, but are you willing to die for him?" He asks making the twins look at eachother. I know why Derek looked at me as he asked it, because he knows i'd die for him and he'd die for me. 

Suddely the house starts shaking causing me to focus back on the oni who's hand is touching the barrier. "What are they doing?" Scott asks as he comes back into the room. 

"Testing for weaknesses." Aiden replies.

The oni kept hitting the barrier causing things inside of the house to fall and break. "Guys? We have a problem." I say when one of the oni almost has it's hand inside the house.

"Allison, please tell me that you have something." Scott says over the phone. "They're here. They're trying to get in."

"I was right, wasn't I? They're looking for me?" Kira asks and I frown, she's not evil, it can't be her. 

"They're looking for a dark spirit. And I know it's not you." 

"Scott, we're going to have to do something." Derek says as the oni breaks through the barrier. They step inside and as me and Derek go to stand in front of Kira and Scott, Scott puts his hand on my shoulder. "Don't do anything." He tells us moving in front of us.

"Is he serieus?" Aiden asks. 

"I said don't do anything." Scott holds out his hand to Kira and she hesitated for a second before she took it. "Trust me." As they stood together the oni did their test on them and frozen they both fell to the ground.
