"Who was it? Who were you with, Arthav?"

Arthav hesitates, a moment of silence hanging in the air. He couldn't hide the truth any longer. He takes a deep breath, his voice becoming quieter as he responds.

" I was with Kiani..."

He watches his mother's expression, bracing himself for her reaction. She sighs. He is momentarily taken aback by his mother's unexpected reaction. He had been bracing for anger or disapproval, not this calm acceptance. He feels a wave of relief wash over him, a weight lifting off his shoulders.

"You're... you're not mad?" His mother lets out another sigh, her expression softening further. She reaches out, cupping his cheek in her hand, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of her lips.

"Mad? No, I'm not mad. Just... surprised, is all. You had me worried, thinking it was some secret affair or something. But it's your own wife, your Kiani. What's there to be mad about?" He feels a mixture of disbelief and gratitude coursing through him. He can't believe how understanding his mother is being, how quickly she's accepted this revelation about their sneaking out. He manages a small smile, shaking his head in amazement.

"I can't believe you're taking this so well. I thought you'd be furious, maybe even disown me." He chuckles. His mother rolls her eyes, a hint of amusement in her voice.

"Disown you? And miss out on scolding you the rest of my life? I don't think so. I might be old, but I'm not that crazy." She gives him a gentle pat on the arm before gesturing towards the door.

"Now go on, go back to your wife. I'm sure she's waiting for you. And the two of you better have a good explanation for this little rendezvous." He chuckles again, He stands up, leaning down to place a kiss on his mother's cheek.

"You're the best, Ma. I don't know what I'd do without you." He heads towards the door, pausing for a moment to look back at his mother. "And don't worry, we'll explain everything. But... maybe you should go back to sleep first."

His mother waves him off, a knowing smile on her lips. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine. You focus on your wife. And don't do anything stupid again, understand?"Arthav couldn't help but smirk, the hint of his usual mischievousness back in his eyes.

"No promises, Ma. You know me." With that, he exits the room, closing the door quietly behind him. He quietly slips back into his room, his heart still pounding from the interaction with his mother. He closes the door behind him, his eyes immediately falling on his wife, waiting for him. His expression softens as he gazes at her, his frustration melting away. He approaches her, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close.

"Did we get caught??" She widens her eyes. He couldn't help but chuckle at her worried expression, shaking his head in reassurance. He places a gentle but firm hand on her chin, making her look him in the eye.

"No, darling, we didn't get caught. Well, not exactly."

"Huh?" question mark in her face. He takes a moment to gather his thoughts, his arms still wrapped around her. He lets out a sigh, a mixture of annoyance and amusement on his face.

"It's my mother. She heard me come back in and knew something was up. I tried to lie and say I was just out on a meeting, but she saw right through it. She guessed that I was with you." He leans closer to her, his voice dropping to a quieter, more intimate tone.

"So yeah, she knows we were out together. But she's not mad or anything. Just... surprised, I guess. She told me not to do anything stupid again, and told me to go back to you."

She sighs of relief and sits on the bed. He releases her from his embrace, stepping back a little to admire the sight of her sitting on the bed. His eyes roam over every inch of her, taking in her disheveled appearance.

"You look a mess, you know that?" He smirks, his voice teasing.

She glares at him and rolls her eyes. "I know...but it was amazing" He chuckles at her annoyed glare, raising his hands in mock surrender.

"Hey, I'm not complaining. You look good like this. All... messy."

He takes a step closer to her, closing the distance between them again. He reaches out, his fingers gently tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Her heart drops"I'll just go get changed" she tries to get away. His hand shoots out, grabbing her arm, stopping her from getting up. His grip is firm but gentle, his eyes locking onto hers.

"Hold on, where do you think you're going?"

"I'm all- I mean we're all drenched...so I'm going to get changed" she flusters. His smirk widens as he takes in her wet appearance, his gaze lingering on the way her clothes cling to her body.

"Yeah, we are. And you look absolutely...delectable."

He takes a step closer, his other hand coming up to caress her cheek, his thumb tracing over her bottom lip. He notices the way she avoids his gaze, the hint of coyness he knows all too well. It only serves to fuel his desire even more.

"Don't shy away from me. Look at me." He hooks a finger under her chin, gently tilting your face up to meet his gaze. His eyes are intense, his voice lower and huskier as he speaks.

"I want to look at you. I want to see those pretty eyes of yours." He steps closer, his body almost flush against hers now. He lets his hand trail down from her chin, tracing along the length of the neck, his touch leaving a trail of goosebumps in its wake. The sound of the rain outside becomes a background noise to the tension building between them. His touch becomes more assertive, his hands roaming over her body as if he's trying to memorize every inch of her.

"You're shivering. But I don't think it's because you're cold." He notices her sudden flinch, a flicker of concern crossing his expression. He continues caressing her skin, his fingers gently tracing over the areas he knows are most sensitive.

"Did I hurt you, love?"

"No...I mean...it's just..." she stammers and flusters. He raises an eyebrow at her flustered state, a knowing smirk slowly spreading across his face. He leans closer, his breath hot against her ear as he speaks in a low, seductive tone.

"Just what? Use your words, darling. You're not usually this shy around me.
