The original library in Bonesborough was destroyed by Night Creatures in an attempt to hunt down the Belmont. They were able to rebuild it and replace all the books that were also destroyed in the process, but after the entirety of the Boiling Isles went dark and under siege by more monsters, forcing everyone into hiding, not even the Library was safe as more undead creatures seem to spawn within its walls. And nobody from the Emperor's Coven seemed willing to leave the safety of the Castle's held-up walls. Reluctantly, this forced the Librarians to call on the only other person capable of handling all the monsters that lay within their place of business...Luz.

"Okay. Place has got skeletons, hostile ghosts, and possessed books." Luz observed from the entrance of the Library. "Classic."

In exchange for her services, the Master Librarian, Malphas, who Luz was thankful for not actually being THAT demon and just named after it, agreed to let her access the Forbidden Section of the Library, where it was said to hold the diary of the "human that came to the isles long ago". So Luz did what she did best and worked her way through the monsters that were scattered across the Library. None of them lasted even a second before the last thing was an enchanted steel flail coming their way and blackening their sight forever. 'Course, it didn't help that all this caused some damage here and there, and after all the work they did to rebuild the place after last time.

When it all seemed clear, Luz opened the doors and had Malphas enter, showing her the way to the Forbidden Section.

"I think I can speak for all who work here when I say that what you've done here is most appreciated, Ms. Belmont." The Librarian spoke in the most unexpected casual tone.

"Call me Luz, and it's no trouble at all." She replied. "...Now, about that book."

"Is it here." Malphas says, gesturing to the double doors, leading to the forbidden stacks. "The book was donated by the human who came here decades ago. When he disappeared, the book was placed in the innermost chambers for safekeeping.

Luz already had a pretty good idea of who that human really was. When the time comes, she'll put his face on display for all the inhabitants of the Titan to see. But before she could get her hands on the book, the doors to the forbidden section burst open to reveal a gigantic, female, four-armed demon with tan skin, long black hair with horns sticking out of the sides of her head, a crimson bandana tied around it, and she was wearing a metal breastplate with a red loincloth bikini-armor. The demon brandished four swords in each arm before Luz and Malphas stepped back, the young Belmont, pulling at the chain of her whip.

"What in the name of the Titan is that?!"

"...Curly." Luz said, and yes, that was actually the demon's name. A demon is that is the fierce aspect of the goddess Durga, now present with a more powerful form as screeches and swings her weapons at Luz, who acrobatically dodges them and sends her whip to the sealing, using it to swing and avoid the she-demon's attacks. But Curly was also summoning familiars of her own, paler, smaller versions of herself with golden hair with swords they attempted to penetrate Luz with by throwing them at her. But Luz already had something far better than that, the dagger-holding chakram, Venus, which she brandishes while deflecting the blades thrown at her by spinning her whip around like a shield. Throwing the weapon, Venus then blasted daggers out of itself like bullets, making them launch into any of the Durga familiars and a few unfortunate books.

"And we just replaced those things." Malphas complained about.

"I'll pay!" Luz yelled back before trying her attention back to Curly, who was still blocking the entrance to the forbidden section. Luz still continued to counter each move the demon made, enchanted metal clashing against each other, fortunately not starting a fire, and allowing Luz to end the fight quickly, as she threw Venus once more, the blades slashing at the chest of Curly before Luz embedded the ceiling with her whip again, pulling herself up high and fast she leaped over to Curly and staked the demon in the hair with the end of the Morning Star's handle. That was enough to make it let out a cry of agony before it dropped dead and dissipated into dust.
