I woke up early that morning (mostly because Pansy kept squealing about something and shaking me to check out my presents.) I lazily slipped into my boots and pulled on my cardigan. I trudged down to the decorated tree and yawned, and sat next to Pansy as she continued opening her presents. "Look at this! Ooh and this!" Pansy showed me some lovely jewelry that her parents sent her for the Yule Ball tonight which as expected I will be going with Draco. "They're absolutely lovely," I said as she held them up against herself.

"Here these are for you," She said pushing a small pile of packages towards me. "Oh I think I left my present for you upstairs; be right back." She got up and hurried up to our room. I smiled to myself and opened my presents. I got an opal necklace from my mother, since it was my favorite stone. My brother sent me several pictures of him and some of the magical creatures he was researching. From Harry I got some candies from Hogsmeade. The twins gave me some pranking supplies which I may or may not plan to use on them. Then I looked to the last box which was from Draco, a tiny silver box with golden cord to tie it up. I carefully opened it and it revealed an elegant snake ring –in picture-I slid on the slim ring and smiled. Sometimes I suppose he can be sweet I guess.

"It was a bit last minute you know how hard it is to shop for you," Pansy rushed down the stairs and handed me a beautiful bracelet. I gasped and put it on.

"It's so pretty Pansy!"

"It matches mine see," she held up her wrist revealing her matching bracelet. I hugged her quickly.

"You know sometimes you're pretty mean and rude," I said. "But at the core you are absolutely lovely."

"Well don't go telling people that I have a rep to maintain." She pushed me off playfully. "Now I have to go look for Draco, so I'll see you later okay."

"Alright if you're looking for me I'll probably be at the library." I said.

-Time Skip to the library-

I searched the shelves for a book to read, I ran my finger across the spines of the books until I came across a slim dark green potion book. I took the book and went to sit in the corner where I normally sit when I saw a familiar dark skinned figure slumped in his chair. His long arms were stretched out and he rested his head on his left arm. I quietly sat in the chair across him. I opened my book and started reading. I peeked over the top of my book and watched him sleep for a bit; he looked so peaceful and childlike. Suddenly his brown eyes fluttered open and he stared at me, I played it off casually and began reading.

"Enjoying the view are we?" He asked as he stretched and straightened his figure.

"Whatever floats your boat Zabini." I answered as coolly as possible.

"Don't let Draco find out," He said cockily.

"Find out what? That I was staring at you, oh right cause it's so horrible," I said with sarcasm.

"So you were staring?" He said, I could almost hear him smiling.

"Blaise," I lowered my book and set it on the table. "It doesn't mean anything just because I was staring at you. You could've been snoring or something and that's why."

"But I was awake the whole time so I couldn't have been snoring," he smirked.

"You creepy devil," I muttered.

"If anyone is creepy here it's you, I'm not the one staring at people in their sleep." He leaned back on his chair lazily.

"I wasn't staring," I said. "Well I mean I was, but I wasn't staring in that kind of way."
