I woke in my dark room, it still seemed strange to me considering how long I have been here. Though I doubt I will ever become used to it. The door clicked open and a rather excited looking Bellatrix strode in. "Rise and shine! Time to practice!" She sang, her tone was poisonous. She pointed her wand at the curtains and the curtains flew open letting bright sunlight shoot through, I blinked in the sudden light. Bellatrix looked at me and tapped her foot impatiently. "Get up!" She said. "We have a lot to do. You have three minutes," With the slamming of the door she disappeared.

I pulled myself out of bed and walked over to the wardrobe in the corner. After I was dressed I walked down the stairs to the dining hall. The hall was quiet and the light was dim. There was fruit lying on the table, I picked up an apple taking in its scent before biting into it. I looked around, the silence was unsettling. Suddenly, Bellatrix barged in and with a flick of her wand the table was pushed to the left side of the wall. A dark smirk spread across her face as she locked the door. She circled me like a vulture does to a dead animal; her evil grin growing wider. "I want to see if you have the stomach for this," Bellatrix said, her finger tracing her wand in an intimidating way which made my stomach twist and turn. "Lord Voldemort sees potential in you. Your parents were very powerful, it's a shame their blood was wasted. But then again, they aren't your real parents. You don't have their blood in you, I don't think you can handle it. Though that was an impressive execution of the Cruciatus Curse that night." My heart dropped to the pit of my stomach and she cackled. "Yes, I saw what happened through all the fighting. I saw the moment that your parents dropped dead and the fury and the angry burning in your eyes."

A lump formed in the back of my throat as the memory of the man writhing in pain after I shot the Cruciatus curse at him. He deserved it. He killed my parents. I should've used the killing curse on him. But still, the guilt of even using the curse hung heavy on my shoulders. No matter who they were, I shouldn't have used the curse. I swallowed the lump in my throat and refocused my attention, burying the memory deep in my mind. "What do you want me to do," I asked in monotone maintaining a cold facade.

"We captured someone recently," she replied, "a muggle girl. She was spotted in the café where Potter fled to the night of the Weasley boy's wedding. You need to get as much information out of her as possible." The witch snapped her fingers and the grand doors to the hall opened wide. Two death eaters drug the girl in. She wore a black waist apron and black slacks with a blue floral blouse. Her ponytail was a mess and she was in a state of confusion and distress. Bellatrix gestured for the two to leave and she closed the door behind them. She circled the girl and laughed at her state.
"What a pathetic being you are," She laughed and flicked her wand which forced the girl to her knees. The girl cried loudly and Bellatrix rolled her eyes. "Shut up, your pitiful crying is making my ears bleed." The witch placed two hands on my shoulders sending a cold chill down my spine. "Make her speak," she said in a crazed tone. "Don't disappoint me," she hissed. I nodded, not daring to disobey her in her current state. I kept a monotone façade and looked the muggle girl up and down. I must look frightening to her, little does she know I'm shaking inside. I pulled my wand out and she looked up at me crying more.

"Please don't hurt me, I don't know what's going on." She pleaded. I swallowed the lump in my throat steadying my voice so it wouldn't be so obviously shaky.

"No harm will come to you if you cooperate," I said and she shook her head in agreement. I paced slowly, "The first of August, Harry Potter and two others fled an attack and took cover in the café you were working in—"

"Who is this Potter person I keep hearing his name I don't know who the hell that is," She said in an outburst of frustration. Bellatrix who was watching from the side was clearly displeased that she spoke back. If I wanted to save my own skin from the wrath of Bellatrix, I couldn't just ignore what she did.
