Kayla looked stunning in the photoshoot for a beauty brand. Even though they were busy with the shoot, it was still possible for them to receive other job offers, like Kayla did. As a freelance model, Kayla had already secured several contracts in Korea well before she began filming for The Lucky Fans.
Since the airing of the second episode, Kayla had been flooded with job offers. One of these came from Beauty Brand 2an, where the CEO and founder is a former ulzzang. In Korean culture, ulzzang (or eoljjang) is a popular term that literally means someone who is exceptionally good-looking.
Rhea gave Kayla two thumbs up as she looked at her. Coincidentally, Rhea had just finished an interview with a publishing house. What started as a mere whim led Rhea to apply for a job as an Indonesian translator at an indie publisher. Okta had long given her permission to take on other work since she had reliable staff, Ella and Ruben, to handle things. The only condition was that Rhea still needed to assist Okta with managing ONE Publishing.
Why delay if there's an opportunity? One can never know what fate holds without seizing the open chance right before them. Since the interview location was not far from Kayla's photoshoot, she decided to head to the meeting with Kayla once the shoot was over.
"I'm thinking of getting a coffee. Do you want anything?" asked Ive, the Canadian staff member from The Lucky Fans responsible for Jennifer and Kayla.
"Mint chocolate."
"You really like mint chocolate, huh?" Ive smiled. "Kayla's shoot will be wrapping up soon, so I'll wait for you downstairs. Let me know when you're outside the building," she added before heading out.
-ooo-
One could say that the popularity of The Lucky Fans has been a blessing for Rhea. How so? They've had several opportunities beyond the program, such as photoshoots and commercials—Kayla, Hana, and Elisa have all done them. Additionally, Sang Hee mentioned that tomorrow they would be heading to Jeju for a photoshoot with Naver.
"We'll be doing a photoshoot for Webtoon. You'll each get a different character, and we'll discuss the details further once we arrive on location," Sang Hee continued.
"Wow! I feel like I'm really here in Korea to work," Hana said with her usual innocent expression. It turns out Hana wasn't the only one thinking that way.
"So, what will you do with your earnings, Hana?" Since Hana mentioned that her father was the same age as Lee Teuk, the man acted as though he were Hana's father. Lee Teuk constantly asked if Hana had eaten or if she was enjoying the shoot, like a concerned father looking after his little girl.
"I don't know, maybe save it for college," Hana replied.
Sang Hee then went over their schedule in Jeju again. Not only would they be doing the photoshoot, but they would also be filming for the next episode. Jeju's autumn scenery was sure to be just as beautiful. That's what Rhea thought.
"Mwohae?" Jun Ho, who had been watching Rhea scribble on a piece of paper, couldn't help but be curious.
"I'm just jotting down some destinations in Greece," Rhea whispered in response, not wanting to disturb Sang Hee, who was busy explaining.
Rhea herself wasn't sure why Jun Ho had suddenly appeared next to her. It seemed that just ten minutes ago, the seat beside her had been occupied by Nichkhun.
"Rhea-ya, someone wants to meet with you. Can you come with me for a moment?" Sang Hee stopped Rhea as the meeting concluded. Some members immediately left due to other schedule, while others remained in the building for lunch.
