At five in the afternoon, one by one, they arrived at Gimpo Airport. Even though their flight was kept under wraps, a few fans were still hanging around, waiting for Super Junior and 2PM members to show up. They managed to snap some shots too, with reporters on the lookout for any celebs making a dash for the sky.
Super Junior members stepped out first, followed by 2PM, and then came the lucky fans. The flight from Seoul to Jeju takes about an hour, and they'd planned this evening trip so they could enjoy dinner together once they landed in Jeju.
Rhea had never experienced being followed by a crowd of people snapping pictures like this before. She was just as confused as to why fans were taking photos of the six of them, who were technically just fans themselves. It made her a bit uneasy, and she instinctively tightened her grip on Jennifer's arm.
"Gwaenchana," Jennifer said, giving Rhea's hand a reassuring pat.
Jun Ho, who was a few steps ahead, noticed what was going on but couldn't get closer because of the swarm of cameras. All he could do was glance back a few times, making sure Rhea was okay.
"It felt like my heart just stopped suddenly," Rhea said as they finally escaped the throng of fans and reporters.
They were waiting for their departure in the lounge. Once everything was set, they were invited to head to the gate. The friendly flight attendant helped them find their seats. Honestly, this was Rhea's first time enjoying a flight in business class.
Following Sang Hee's suggestion, Rhea sat with Kayla, who chose a window seat. In front of them were Jennifer and Hana, to their right sat Jun Ho and Woo Young, and behind them were Dong Hae and Eun Hyuk.
"Isn't the drama Island filming in Jeju too?" Rhea asked as the thought popped into her head.
"Eoh, neodo bwasseo?" Dong Hae chimed in from behind.
Rhea nodded. Of course she'd watched it—all thanks to Cha Eun Woo. After seeing True Beauty, she instantly became a fan of his acting and was really looking forward to Island to see him tackle a different role. Plus, it was adapted from a Webtoon, and Rhea loved dramas based on Webtoons.
"Don't tell me you're watching it just because of Cha Eun Woo?" Eun Hyuk chimed in.
"Oppa, you're like a psychic! How did you know?"
"I had a feeling. Everyone around me is watching Island because of Eun Woo too."
"Cha Eun Woo is seriously handsome. No wonder so many people are into him."
Rhea nodded, agreeing with Kayla. Then, without meaning to, her gaze caught Jun Ho's. Instead of looking away, he held her gaze, lingering in her eyes. It reminded Rhea of their conversation yesterday—the moment when he suddenly confessed he liked her.
Oh my gosh! How could someone like Lee Jun Ho be interested in an ordinary woman like her? That thought haunted Rhea's mind. He hadn't pushed for an answer at the time, but didn't that mean he was waiting for one? What was she supposed to say? She didn't want to fall for a guy's charm for the second time. She was afraid of getting trapped in that allure again after being hurt.
She had come to Korea just to have fun with Super Junior and 2PM, not to receive a confession from a top celebrity like last night. Just thinking about their close embrace sent her heart racing. So, didn't that mean she had to figure something out?
-ooo-
"Gawi, bawi, bo!" The six lucky fans played rock-paper-scissors, guided by Lee Teuk, to decide who would take on the role of Serena. The Webtoon Serena was super popular among manhwa fans, and everyone wanted to play her—except for Rhea.
