Always and Forever

I leaned in closer, and crashed my lips onto his.

Butterflies flew in my stomach, as he deepened the kiss and I let out a small moan, his hands tugging at my hair. The kiss slowly became more passionate and fierce, heat filling me up inside and igniting every part of my body. This was heaven. He  was heaven.

"I want to take you somewhere," he said abruptly, breaking the kiss and grabbing my hand. I laughed. "Didn't you just take me somewhere?"

He blushed. "I meant... somewhere else."

He took me back all the way through the forest and then to his parked car. We got in, his hand resting on my thigh as he drove and making me a nervous and jittery mess inside. Shit, he affects me too much.

And I'm loving it.

He parked at some secluded area, and I rolled my eyes at him. "If you keep bringing me to these kinds of places, I can only assume you're trying to murder me."

He laughed, and I instantly blushed. Stop blushing at every little thing, Annabeth!

"Sweetheart, you keep saying it so much, I can't tell if you're trying to tempt me into it or not." He winked, and I instantly gasped and shoved him.

"Okay, okay!" He said, raising his hands in surrender. He quickly stepped out, and then walked over and held the door open for me. Luke never did that for me.

As soon as I stepped out, he wrapped his arms around my waist and blindfolded me. "Woah, hold up, what's going on?" I demanded, trying to yank off the blindfold. He gently grabbed my wrists.

"Do you trust me?"

"I don't know, do I?" I replied cheekily. He placed a soft peck on my lips, and I felt him smile against the kiss. He then wrapped an arm around my waist and gently guided me to wherever it was we were going.

"You look so beautiful," I heard him mutter as we walked along. I bit my lip, and heard him groan. "Don't do that, you're driving me crazy."

I smirked, and he instantly backed me up against what felt like rough bark. I felt his warm breath on my face, and slapped him away. "Nuh uh. Not while I'm blindfolded."

I heard him scoff, and he reluctantly took me back to the trail. We continued walking for a few minutes, then suddenly he said, "Stop."

He walked behind me and undid the blindfold, then wrapped his arms around me as I took in the sight in front of me.

There was a little secluded enclosure, the surrounding trees strung with fairy lights and in the midst of it, a little picnic area with a basket and cushions. I gasped, and turned to Percy. "You did this all for me?"

He rolled his eyes. "No, I did it for Jason. Of course I did it for you, Annabeth."

He grabbed my hand and led me towards the picnic blanket, a crimson blush coating my cheeks. We sat down, and he immediately placed different kinds of treats on a paper plate for me before doing it for himself. What a gentleman. 

We ate silently, the tension thick around us. Every so often, I would lift my eyes up from the plate to look at him, only to find him already staring back at me. I would instantly drop my eyes while internally squealing like some crazed middle school girl.

Once we finished, Percy cleared his throat and put everything in the basket. Without warning, he suddenly lifted me up over his shoulder and placed me down standing in front of him, his hands covering my eyes.

"You could've just pulled me up instead of lifting me," I mumbled. I assume he rolled his eyes as he said, "Stop ruining the moment."

"Sorry," I grinned. "Don't open your eyes" is all he replied before he stepped away and I complied, keeping my eyes shut.

I heard him pull something out and say, "You can open them."

He was kneeling in front of me, holding a bouquet of roses. I looked at him in shock.

"Annabeth, will you marry me?"

Ha, you really thought he said that? Chill, we're only 17!

"Annabeth, the day I first saw you, I was speechless. Truly. It took me a while to figure you out, and I loved every second of it. But what I wanted to know the most, was why you affected me so much. And I know now. I love you, Annabeth," he said and my heart fluttered.

He continued, "You are the light in my life. You are my main reason for living. And I think you feel the same way for me too, so I want to ask you. Just to make it official." His voice took on an edge of nervousness as he said, 

"Annabeth, will you be my girlfriend?"
