Chapter 13: Summer joy

Something that you thought wouldn't happen happened. 

You needed to blink several times to be sure of it, scrunching your eyebrows to make sure it wasn't just some kind of flashback or hallucination. 

Or if it had something to do with All for One and his unlimited amount of different quirks. 

But it wasn't. 

"[L/N]! We've come to go to school together!", Mina said, eagerly waving her hand at your still body, standing in the same place as you tried to figure out what was going on. 

You hadn't told them where you were living, nor which train you took to school. 

Not even when you got ready for school. 

This was...strange.

Your feet moved again as you approached the group consisting of Mina, Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero were seated on a bench before the train rail, their heads turning as Mina greeted you. 

It was 6:40 a.m.

A time when you believed they would be still sleeping. 

Your eyes traveled from one face to another as you saw the tired expressions they were wearing, having trouble keeping their eyes open. 

Your thoughts definitely were true. 

There was no escape from this situation. 

You wordlessly sat down beside Mina, taking a glance at the arrival of the next train. 

10 minutes left.

"We've extra woken up two whole hours earlier to spend time with you", a sleepy Kaminari stated, yawning. 

"Why did you avoid us for so long?", asked Mina, rubbing her tired eyes. 

"We even invited-"

"WHICH ONE OF YOU EXTRAS TOLD ME TO ARRIVE HERE"

"-Bakugo for the worst-case scenario. He actually came", said Kirishima, scratching his head as he determined that the said boy actually arrived. 

This was a whole nightmare for you. You didn't need his yells after countless nights of no sleep, makeup covering your dark circles.  

"Just shut up", you directed at him, your hands in your lap as you fidgeted them around, in an attempt to make the time pass faster.

Sadly, it didn't work. 

"NO ONE TELLS ME TO SHUT UP, HOLE EYES"

Even though you weren't even looking at him, you could already feel the hatred radiating like waves from him and all directing it towards you.

"Yeah I can see that by your reaction"

"WHAT DOES THAT MEAN NOW?"

The arriving train was the only thing that saved the situation, the bickering continued on until you and Mina took a seat, Kaminari and Sero in the seats in front of you while Kirishima and Bakugo were at the seat behind them. 

"Why have you been ignoring us?", Mina asked again, a yawn soon following after her words.

"Long story", mumbled you, watching the buildings passing by while you put on your headphones, music blasting through them, avoiding more conversation than you already have done. 

The vehicle's door closed with a beep, the train slowly began to move to start your way to school. 

However, your music session was interrupted as Mina took your headphones off, making your hair messy as she confiscated it, hiding it behind her back and leaning away from your grasp.
