It's been a week since Minnies birthday now. A week after your kiss with Mr. Hong.

Ever since, you acted different whenever Mr. Hong was next to you. You didn't say anything back, whenever he said something inappropriate, you didn't give him a hard time too.
When Minnie came to your place the next day, she asked if something happened between the two of you, since you talked so soft to him - which wasn't what she noticed whenever you talked about him with her.

You just denied and quickly changed the subject.

You don't know why you are like that. It was just a kiss. It's not like you didn't kissed other men before.

But after he told you, that he has been the one, who took care of your school bullies back then and wanted to become your bodyguard because he wanted to protect you after all these years - something changed.

You saw him with different eyes. You were still mad whenever he let out his possessive self but it didn't bother you as much as it did before.

You didn't talked about the kiss, not yet. You locked yourself in your room for the last week and didn't really leave the house which means that he wasn't really around either.

But since your father's television appearance is tomorrow, where he announces you as his daughter, you knew you had to meet him again.

"Y/n, have you written your speech yet?" Your father asked.
You were sitting at the dining table, having dinner with the whole family. Your younger siblings were here too.

"Yeah, it's done. Short and simple, as you wished." You said, looking at your father, who was sitting on the head of the table, looking like the president he is.

"Good. You're getting there an hour or two after me with Mr. Hong. You're getting ready while I'm already having the interview and then I'll let you in."

You nodded. "Okay."

You continued eating and talked about random things. Your father had forbidden talking about politics at home which you were really happy about. When everyone was done eating, you looked at your father.

"Dad, can I go on a walk... alone? One last time?" You asked.

"Y/n, you know what happened last time." He said.

"Please, dad. After tomorrow... everything is changing forever. I just want one last evening living like an almost normal person."

Your father sighed.

"Oh love, c'mon. It won't be easy for her." Your mom said, patting your father's back.

He looked at you. You blinked a few times, giving the best puppy eyes you could do.

He sighed again. "Okay, fine. But you call Mr. Hong as soon as you notice something weird. And take Dongie with you."

You changed into something more casual and put on a big hoodie and a cap, to cover your face. Dongie and you left your house and headed down the street. It was already dark outside and only the street lights were giving off some light.

It was quiet while you were walking around a park near your house. Only a few people were walking around, some with their partner, some with their dog, some alone.

You wished you could walk around so freely too. But after tomorrow, that won't be possible ever again. Journalists are always by your side, as is your bodyguard - or even more than one. Your father already said that you were getting more than Mr. Hong. But he stays as your personal bodyguard who isn't leaving your side.

As a couple walked past you, you were imagining Mr. Hong and you being the couple. Laughing, holding hands, loving each other.

The thought of Mr. Hong and you having something more than a work relationship, made you swallow hard. You wouldn't thought that you would ever have such thoughts about Mr. Hong.

"I'm going crazy." You whispered to yourself.

As you continued walking, Dongie somehow stopped and barked at a tree next to you.

"What are you doing?" You kneeled down at him and looked at the tree.

There is nothing to see.
Crazy dog.
"C'mon, Dongie. There is noth-"

Mr. Hong came up behind the tree. He was wearing a casual black jeans and a black hoodie - just like you.

You blinked at the sight of him.

"Mr. Hong..." You whispered.

He smiled as he came close to you. You quickly stood up again and stepped one step back as he stood right in front of you.

"Why are you walking around alone?" He asked, his voice cold as always.

"I asked my dad. I have your number in shortcut to call whenever I feel weird." You said.

"And why didn't you call me yet, when your dog starts barking at a tree?"

You rolled your eyes. "Don't be over dramatic now."

"Y/n, I swear to god just do-"

"What? Do what you want? C'mon, Joshua."

You caught him off guard by saying his name. You didn't realize till you repeated your sentence in your head again.

"I-I'm sorry." You stumbled.
"For what?"
"For not saying Mr. Hong."
He chuckled. "I love it when you call me Joshua."

You felt your cheeks turning red. You played with the leash from Dongie, trying to overplay the situation.

"Why are you here?" You asked.
"Your father called me."
You rolled your eyes. "Why am I even asking. Why don't you guys trust me?"

"We trust you. We just don't trust any other than us around you. It's only for your safety, y/n."

You sighed. "Nothing happened."
"Yeah because I was there."
"Like you've been before." You whispered.

You didn't have to say which time you meant. You knew, that he knew what you were talking about. About what happened years ago. He was there. Without you knowing, he was there.

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" He asked.

You shook your head. "No, I'm not. I don't wanna do this."

"You'll be fine."

"Will I? I don't want to this - to be the daughter of the president of Korea. I wanna be a simple woman who studies to make herself a good life, going on parties, meeting new people, living the life to the fullest."

"You can still do these things, y/n."

You shook your head. "No, no I can't. I can't step outside the house without anyone trying to get a photo of me, trying to interview me, touch me-"

"No one is going to touch you. Not as long as I'm next to you."
You laughed. "You can't always be on my side."

"Watch me." He said with a straight face.

Your skin turned hot by his words.

"We.. we haven't talked about what happened last week." You said.

"There is no need to talk."
You tilted your head.

"What do you mean? Are we just ignoring the kiss and act like nothing happened or..."

He smiled as he walked closer to you. You had to look up to look at his eyes.

"Babygirl, you're mine - as I said before. There is no need to say anything about the kiss, except I'm doing it more often from now on."
