"We have to escape!"

"Do you think we haven't tried that yet?"

The TLC was growing more and more restless by the minute. It almost felt like the walls closed in on them just a little bit more with each passing second. The fact that Firey was there, effectively making the place a giant oven, wasn't helping at all.

"I really hate this..." Spongy whined. "My legs have been asleep since episode seven, and I can't move enough to fix that."

"You're the last person who should get to complain, Spongy!" Eraser snapped, "I'm never gonna be able to look at gray again!"

"Ughh, we need to, like, break out already!" Match said, stomping her foot.

"What's the point?" Leafy, however, was a lot less enthusiastic about the idea, sitting slumped over in the corner everyone doubted she had moved from in the past few days.

"Okay, we get it ! You're sad !" Blocky grumbled, "Well, you know what? It's your own fault for blindly following Pin like some kind of idiot!"

Leafy's eye twitched at that.

"Hey, that wasn't noice!" Bubble chastised, before being promptly popped.

"Okay but...maybe we could escape somehow!" Needle offered, TD nodding at the idea.

"Oh yeah, maybe we can like, use the time when the lid's open!" Match suggested.

"Hey guys, be quiet!"

Everyone got a shock when Announcer appeared within them in the box, through the wall, it seemed.

"And stop talking about escaping!"

"Eraser, take the tape off Rocky's mouth." Blocky said.

"Wait, huh?" Announcer didn't know what they meant until Eraser did what he was asked...

"Bleh!"

...and Announcer got a face full of projectile vomit.

"Okay, everyone out ! Right away! You all overslept!"

Pencil and Flower were busy rattling small metal pans, waking up all the recommended as quick as they could. Truth be told, none of them actually overslept, but they still wanted them out of the lab and fast before the Announcer could notice they all went missing.

"I can't say I'm a fan of sleeping on a train car." 8-Ball said, holding back a yawn. "My back is gonna hate me today."

"Hey, it beats the ground , which is all the speaky cube gave us ." Pencil pointed out.

"Thanks again for the tour, guys." Eggy said, also stepping out with some of the others. "It was...interesting, at least."

"Yeah, looking at drab gray tunnels and a bunch of weird gear we weren't allowed to touch was sooo fun." Nickel added, a lot less happy about it.

"Well, I had fun." Pillow said, "It gave me a lot more experiment opportunities."

"Pouring acid on people isn't experimenting !" Book chastised, before glancing around at some of the other recommended. "So, uh, is Dream Island as good as everyone says it is?"
