"Okay, that part goes... there ... whew, okay. Welcome back, old friend!"
Truth be told, this whole time travel escapade was one big nostalgia trip, more or less but this... getting to see the speaker box that Flower made way back when in her hands again... that really gave Flower a warm feeling inside.
"You finished too, huh, Flower?" GB asked. Behind her, Flower could see another speaker box, white in color with several gray spots simulating her dimples.
"I'm almost done too!" Pencil added, finally finishing the last connected wire. Hers probably looked the most like her. It was a bright yellow, had her eraser, and the bottom even had her point at the end.
"Uh...Pencil?" Flower asked, "How is your Speaker Box supposed to... stand?"
"Oh, trust me, it can balance." Pencil said, proud of herself, "Thanks to a little gyro GB helped me out with!"
To demonstrate, Pencil flipped a small switch on the inside. Instantly, the Pencil Speaker Box sprung to life, not only balancing on the small tip, but spinning around on it like a top.
"Hey, guys! Let's eliminate Pin already!"
"Huh... those are pretty cool." Leafy said. Out of everyone, she was the only one among them who hadn't made her own Speaker Box. She was intrigued, but according to Flower, she didn't build one in the 'original' timeline anyways, which she figured had to have a reason behind it.
"Indeed! It's a shame we can't really use these as the hosts, however..." Golf Ball thought.
"Hm, why not?" Leafy asked, seeming a little disappointed by that news.
"Well, the only reason they got to be the hosts originally is because someone dropped Spongy on Announcer Prime, putting him out of commission."
"Hm. So all we have to do is just... kill the host, right?" Pencil asked.
Flower blinked in surprise at that.
"I mean... I-I guess we could. He'd get a recovery center eventually, right?"
"Do we really wanna face charges for that?" Leafy wondered out loud.
"I mean... isn't death kind of a slap on the wrist nowadays?" Pencil asked, brushing the consequences off surprisingly easily. "We've got our own recovery centers and everything."
"Well, not exactly..." GB said, "Yes, murder's not usually... that big of a charge ever since recovery centers became a mainstream invention. However, there are exceptions... if your victim either has no recovery center, is unable to have one made, or has had their recovery center purposefully removed or destroyed by you... then you would be struck with a first-degree murder charge no matter your plea."
Flower hmmed at that, "Well... yeah, Announcer doesn't have a Recovery Center right now ... but none of us faced charges the first time. Besides, what if a charge is made later down the line after they do get recovered?"
"Well... even if the victim can be recovered, it'd be entirely up to them . As long as they weren't already able to upon their death... they could still properly file a claim of murder."
"Huh... well, did the speaker box press any charges like that?" Pencil asked.
"No, not really..." Flower said.
"Well... if you're confident, go ahead."
"Well, good to know." Leafy turned to GB. "I had no idea you were so knowledgeable about this, Golf Ball!"
