It is the beginning of a new week at Seattle grace hospital and Aurora was still contemplating what to do about Mark. She was scared, terrified even that it would end badly even though she knew it wouldn't, her past was holding her back yet again. She liked Mark, and the tension between them was there and she felt it and she knew that he did too, so when she woke up this morning she decided she was going to ask him out for drinks.

The blonde woke up and imminently called her new found best friend calliope "I'm going to do it."

"Do what?" her friend asked

"Ask Mark out for drinks, I'm going to do it today. My past can no longer hold me back from what I want."

"Finally! I knew you would come to you senses. When are you going to do it?"

"Today" the blonde replied with pure confidence

"I'm so happy for you Aura"

"Thank you Callie, i'll see you later."

"See you"

They hang up and Aurora continues getting ready for work, excited for the day ahead. The interns await their residents arrival outside the locker room, when they spot the blonde, they talk in her direction, waiting to be given their task.

"Okay, I've seen some great skills out of all of you these last few weeks, so continue that please. And don't forget, don't crowd attendings, do the work , do the research for upcoming surgery's even if it's just to refresh what you already know. Anyway: Dane, you are with me, Banks scut and Harper help out in the ER and clinic. Any questions?"they all shake their heads "Perfect, go. Now Dane, I've heard good things about you so let's see how you do today, and remember don't be afraid o speak up." He nods and continues walking but Aurora slows down as she sees Mark "I think I am in the ER today so I will meet you there in a few."

With confidence, the blonde walks uptake the strapping attending but before she can say anything he speaks first "Dr Quinn, what is the first thing you think of when I say the works gentleman's evening?"

"Umm, like poker and strippers, why?"

"Derek invited me to this gentlemans evening that Richard planned but we had no idea what to expect."

Suddenly, the confidence left the residents face as she found out that Mark was already busy tonight "Oh, so you are already busy tonight, I was just gonna." She pauses for a moment unable to find the words "You know what that's fine, don't worry have fun. I should get going"

Mark knew exactly what she was going to say, she wanted to do something with him, tonight! He felt disappointed that she suddenly seemed to get shy and wished she'd have waited for him to reply to her.

"Aurie" She was already gone before he got the chance to call her back, he shook his head with disappointment.

Meredith and Cristina are talking and waiting for the ambulances when Calliope and Aurora turn up.

'What we got?" Callie asks Meredith

"2 ambulances, multiple traumas"

Aurora pipes up "Any chance you need a residents help, Dr Torres?"

"As long as you want to smash bones into dust while people cry"

"Perfect just what I need right now." The blonde adds refer to the current Mark situation, which strikes a concerned look from her friend "Ok, what we got"

"Chest pain, tamponade, ruptured aorta?" Cristina mumbles

The paramedic replies "More like a clown car. Jackie Escott, 25 years old. Dislocated shoulder, lac to her thigh, vital signs are stable. And Helena Boyd, 26 years old. Also stable with an obvious nasal fracture, facial lacs and a chunk f missing scalp.
