~A week later~
Siobhan's POV
I was sitting in the office with Marjorie and Autumn, waiting for the last kid to be picked up, when Mia came in.
"Hey, shibby," she said with her usual smirk.
"Mia," I knew she only called me to get under my skin.
"I was waiting for Char, though I'd come say hi,"
"Really, that doesn't sound like you," Marjorie jumped in.
"Yeah, you're right. Actually, I wanted to talk to Siobhan," she said, turning back to me.
"You only call me by my name when it's something serious," I said, getting nervous.
"It is quite serious. Would you rather go somewhere else for this conversation?" Mia asked, concern written on her face.
"No, it's fine, what is it, Mia," I said, wanting to get this over with. Mia came over and sat next to me.
"Remember about a week ago when you said you would go with me to the police about Roger?" she asked softly. I froze at hearing his name.
"Yeah," I whispered
"I was wondering if you were still up for that?" she asked, her eyes locked on the floor, not meeting my eyes. I didn't know what to say I wanted him to pay for what he did to us and the siblings, but the thought of telling the police what he had done made my whole body freeze.
"I understand if it is too soon, and I wanted to give you more time, but I don't know if we have the time for that," Mia said.
"What do you mean, My Love?" Marjorie asked. Mia finally looked up, our eyes meeting before she turned to Marjorie.
"You know I was one of Roger's spies for a long time. I made a lot of enemies, but I also made a lot of friends. Well, one of those friends called me a few days ago and informed me that Roger is planning something. He didn't know what, just that he wanted revenge," she finished, and I knew what she meant by 'revenge.' He was coming after me and anyone who helped me. I knew this would happen I should have just stayed. At least that way, no one else would get hurt. I could feel the tears falling as I ran out of the room. I ran out of the nursery to the side of the building.
Mia's POV
We watched Siobhan run out of the room. I knew this would be too much for her. He was coming after her, not just her, all of us, but she deserves to know what she is up against. Marjorie was making her way to the door to go after her, but I stopped her.
"Marjorie, let me," I said, walking out of the door and making my way outside. I didn't see her, but I could hear her crying on the side of the building, out of view of anyone. I make my way over and slowly turn the corner to find Siobhan sitting against the wall with her knees to her chest. I sat down next to her, not saying a word.
"He's going to kill me. He's going to kill everyone I love. I'm so sorry this is all my fault," she sobbed. I have never seen her like this. She has always been strong, powerful, an Ice Queen. It broke my heart to see her this broken.
"Siobhan, this is not your fault it's his, and I can promise you he will never lay a hand on you again,"
"You can't promise that, and I don't want you to try. Maybe if we're lucky, he'll stop with me and leave all of you alone," she said, defeated as she had already given up.
"You and I both know that he won't. He will come after all of us, and I'm sorry, but I'm not going to just sit here and let it happen. I know you're scared, so am I, but we have too much to live for to let that man win, so please help me take him down, and if you won't do it for me or yourself or the half a dozen other people that have helped you do it for Vivian," I said, putting my hand on her knee hoping she would help us fight. She looked me in the eye and saw the same look I get when someone threatens Char. I never thought I would see the day when Siobhan would care about someone so much, much less a woman, but in this moment, I can see she is hopelessly in love with her and would do anything to make sure she is safe.
