It was now the next morning, and you had went to meet Zhongli. You were wearing your normal Harbinger uniform and were extremely tired.
Zhongli chuckled quietly as you met with him, clearly noticing the tiredness on your face.
"Did you not have enough sleep last night?" He asked.
"6 hours of sleep is not enough. Can we go to the docks now?" You frowned.
Zhongli nodded. "Of course. Let us go, the less time we waste, the better."
He began to start walking, glancing at you as he did so.
"You do seem tired. You don't look like you slept at all."
As the two of you continued to walk through the city towards the docks, Zhongli spoke again, looking over at you for a moment. "You do look like you have a lot going on in your mind, you look quite deep in thought."
"Just thinking." You said.
You were in deep thought about the bodies having a chance to be connected with the abyss. You weren't going to lie about the fact that you were a bit scared of the abyss, yet you would never admit it. Then you also remembered Childe's.. encounter in the abyss, and the way it affected him.
Zhongli smiled gently, walking by your side as he continued to speak, his calm and polite tone still in his voice.
"You have been deep in thought for a few minutes now, you might want to have some caffeine after this to wake you up a bit more." Zhongli chuckled quietly to himself, a light-hearted manner about his voice.
"It's fine don't worry.. just kind of connecting the dots a bit."
Zhongli nodded, his calm smile still on his face.
"I assumed so, I could see your brain working from all the way over here." He chuckled again, jokingly pointing at your head.
"I think I know what happened.. but I need to see to confirm my theory."
Zhongli nodded again, his expression growing a bit more serious as he did so. "I see. And what exactly is your theory at the moment?"
"The people fell into the abyss, there's a chance theres an opening somewhere in Liyue.. but it's just a guess."
Zhongli seemed a bit surprised by your response but he quickly returned to his normal neutral facial expression, thinking to himself.
