Chapter 33

Y|n's P.O.V.

It's been a week since we came back from England and Jamie started to leave again at night. I stopped asking him where is he going since it's clear that he has no intention on telling me.

Today it's the girls' coronation day. I get dressed and enter the room to find Jamie in front of the mirror, dressed in a suit.

-Hey, handsome...

He looked at me and smiled.

-Hey...You look stunning.

I smiled and said:

-Are you ready?

He nodded but I could see that he was stressed so I put a hand on his shoulder.

-What are you thinking about?

He sighed.

-I just can't believe this day is here already. It feels like yesterday when I was her partisan and taking care of her not to get in any problems...

I smile.

-I know...But she growed up now. And you should be proud of her. She is who she is thanks to you.

-I'm very proud of her.

-Think about the new person you'll be a partisan for. They'll be lucky to have you.

He nodded and smiled.

-You're right. I should focus on the present and the future. Not on the past.

I smile and say:

-If it helps with something...Saskia feels the same about Anastasia. You two are very emotional today.

He smiled.

-Yeah, I guess so.

I fix his tie and say:

-Come on let's go.

We get out of the room and meet with with Saskia.

-Hey...

Jamie smiles.

-Hey...You ready to do this?

She shruged.

-We don't have another choice.

He smiled and nodded.

We all go to the throne room and wait for the girls.

As I look at their crowns, I can't help but admire them.

Jamie saw the way I was looking at the crowns and said:

-Don't worry, baby, you'll get a crown too.

I shake my head.

-I don't need one. I was just...Admiring them.

He nodded, understandingly.

After the ceremony finishes, I go to our room, giving the girls a bit of privacy to talk with their former partisans.

I lay down on the bed, my thoughts still about the next week when Jamie will leave, after my birthday.

I push those thoughts aside for now, reminding myself that we need to make the most of the time we have left together.
