Chapter 31

Jamie's P.O.V.

-It'll be fine! You got this!

We were infront of the main entrance in Rosewood, facing each other. My hands were on her waist and her arms around my neck.

She leaned in and kissed me. When we pulled away, she smiled.

-Come on, go.

I smiled and nodded before kissing her one more time.

She laughed and slightly pushed me.

-Go!

I laughed and raised my hands in surrender.

-Ok, ok!

Saskia said:

-Hey, Y|n? Could you go in my place?

We laughed.

-I would, but they'd notice I'm younger.

Saskia nodded.

-Right.

-Come on, let's go inside.

Y|n smiled and sat down.

-I'll be right here.

We nodded and went inside.

Once we got in the exam room, the teacher said we have 2 hours to complete the test.

Everything was very easy, except from the last three exercises that were a bit harder but I managed to finish them. 

I checked everything one more time, to make sure I did every exercise, and looked over at Saskia who was still working on her test.

I got up and handed my test to the teacher who took it and said that I could leave.

I found Y|n right where we left her. She was gripping her side with one hand while with the other she was scrolling on her phone.

I sat down next to her and she looked at me smiling.

-Hi...

-Hi.

I kissed her.

-How are you feeling?

She shrugged.

-I'm fine. It's just a little pain.

-Are you sure?

She nodded and I knew she was lying but didn't push her to tell me the truth since we were going to be on our way to the hospital once Saskia is done with her test.

-How was the test?

-Easy. I did everything.

She smiled and kissed me.

-Saskia is still inside?

-Yes, but she should be out soon, we only have two hours to complete the test.

-Ok...

Right then, her phone ringed.

-Oh, it's Ellie!

She answered:

-Hi, Ellie!

She smiled.

-Yeah, he's with me. You want to talk to him?

She looked at me and handed me her phone.

-Ellie wants to talk to you.

I nodded and took the phone from her.

-Hey, Ellie!

-Hi, Jamie! How was the test?

-It was pretty easy.

-You need to tell us everything when you come back so we'll know what to expect next year.

I laughed and nodded.

-I will, don't worry.

-Good. How are the girls doing?

-They're fine. Our flight is tonight but we'll arrive late so don't stay up waiting for us.

-Ok.

After 5 minutes I gave Y|n her phone back.

-Is there anything you need from our room?

-No, I'll leave my things there since I'll be back soon.

I nodded.

-But you still have some clothes and things there. Don't you want them?

I shook my head and looked at her.

-No.

-Ok...

I figured it was best to leave my things there since she will be alone next year.

-Hey!

We both turned around to see Saskia smiling.

-You left me there all alone and helpless!

She slapped my arm playfully. Y|n laughed and I shook my head, smiling.

-I'm kidding, it was easy. Are you ready to go?

I nodded and got up, looking at Y|n.

-Come on, baby.

She got up and Saskia put an arm around her shoulders.

-You're going to be fine. It's just a check up, right?

She nodded and we got in the car.

All the way to the hospital Y|n was silent, looking out the window, while me and Saskia were talking about the test.

Once I parked the car, we got out and I took Y|n's hand in mine, squeezing it slightly.

-You ok?

-Yeah...

I smiled and kissed her head.

We got inside and asked to see the doctor that operated Y|n. 

Y|n said:

-I want to go alone.

We looked at her and I was about to protest when she said:

-Please?

I sighed and looked at Saskia who nodded.

-Alright.

She hugged Saskia before giving me a kiss. She whispered over my lips:

-Thank you.

She turned around and left, entering the doctor's office.
