Chapter 16

3RD PERSON'S POV:

At last, the day had arrived. The day where the two royal kingdoms of Lucernia and Atra would sit down and finalize their decision.

In the conference room, sat the two royal families: King Bosung, Queen Ahn-hee, Prince Seungmin, and King Daejoon, Prince Minho, and Prince Hyunjin.

Alongside the three Atran males, stood Advisor Bahngchan.

"I just want to start this meeting off by thanking our friends, the Atrans, for coming all this way.", started King Bosung.

"And a special thank you to Advisor Bahngchan for helping tremendous lots in organizing this conference! You've worked hard, Bahngchan-ssi."

The said Advisor bowed,

"It was my honor My King..."

"Now, will it be alright to start immediately?", he asked.

The Lucernian King nodded, signaling Bahngchan to commence.

The male cleared his throat, before moving rising up from his chair.

"So, as we are all aware, there have been... conflicts emerging in the north recently."

"And yes, although we Atrans take extreme pride in our nation's military strength- that doesn't mean we are so arrogant that we are ignorant to what could be potential threats towards our kingdom."

"And that, is primarily what leads us all here to this very moment. For each and every one of us to be seated in this very room, means that we must make our decision. Now."

"So, I've approached today's meeting with a trade proposal." This statement had attracted many heads, all in curiosity and anticipation to what was going to be announced.

The Atran advisor smirked, "Yes. A trade that'll be of both mutual, and beneficial value for the two sides."

"And what is this trade you speak about, Bahngchan-ssi?", Queen Ahn-hee questioned.

"We, as the Province of Atra, will provide advanced weaponry supplies, and battle utilities to Lucernia. Not only that- we will provide services of protection if the current conflicts begin to escalate, of course if it escalates to the extent that Lurcenia may be in danger as well.", he stated confidently.

Prince Seungmin nodded attentively to the sequence of words that were flowing out of the advisor's mouth.

"May I assume that in return of this, Lucernia will be providing Atra with financial aid, food supplies, medical assistance and such?", he asked.

A smile formed on Chan's lips, "Precisely, Prince Seungmin. For it'd only make sense to request such components from what majority can call the wealthiest kingdom in the world."

"And since Atra would be sending and training more soldiers—it'd make theoretical sense if we had such assistances."

"That'll be all. Thank you for listening.", Bahngchan concluded before he sat back down.

A gentle applause erupted from the two families, which made the said advisor internally blush from the positive reception.

Again, a brief silence followed by. Only suspense remained.

The Queen cleared her throat,

"I find this trade...acceptable."

The lack of response from anybody was a signal for the Queen to continue.

"My King, this decision has been dragged enough as it is. No conflict or war has been finalized yet, but it is only wise of us to look ahead and start making allies, starting now. And this trade proposal, that Atra has so kindly offered to us, is the first step into doing that."
