Buck

I hate my life.

My daughter is missing. I lost my job and have no motivation to work again. The guy I've been in love with just dumped me over text. And my parents won't even talk to me about anything!

I thought that Eddie was a gentleman figuring out his feelings as a bisexual man but NO. He definitely figured out his feelings, he dumped ME over text. I should've seen this coming.

He only wanted to hang out with me because I have a kid and was a queer male firefighter like him. WAS!

"Evan! Get out of bed. You are coming to the dispatch center with me." I hear my sister's heels click from the floor of my bedroom.

Ugh, what time is it?!

"Maddie, get out of my room." I throw a pillow at her while covering my body with my sheets.

I am just wearing boxers but that doesn't matter she has seen my naked before.

No, not what people are thinking. We grew up together.

Geez, get you minds out of the gutter.

"No, I'm not going to let you sit here and sulk. Get out of bed and eat the breakfast I made you in the kitchen. If you aren't going back to the 118, I am putting you to work at the dispatch center doing paperwork. You need to keep your mind busy and stop moaning and groaning. Athena is working on Amelia's case, she didn't forget." Maddie pulls the sheets over my head and this time she drags my comforter on the floor.

Ugh, I hate having a sibling sometimes.

"Give me 15 minutes. I need to shower and find a clean pair of clothes." I roll out of bed in just my boxers and watch her start to fold my bed sheets.

"What happened to you over night since I last saw you? You look like your homeless, no offense." Maddie says while fluffing one of my pillows while I look for a clean shirt.

I grab my phone from my night stand and show her Eddie's most recent text that says 'What we had was not special. Bye Buck'.

I tried to text him back and I am pretty sure he blocked my number.
