((AN: **PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING**
Hi all, it's been so long and I'm glad to be back finally! There's a few things I would like to clarify before this chapter.

1 .) This does not change the story is a drastic way but all ages of the characters will be bumped up by 5 years. Just personal preference as I am naturally getting older and don't want to write about people younger than me like that. Not a huge change but something I wanted to note!

2 .) As I was rereading this book, I realized I made a terrible mistake and got some characters confused. I have since updated the book and fixed them, I hope lol, but in chapter 9 the additional slave was Mark and in Chapter 10 it was Bambam. To clarify, the additional slave is, in fact, Mark! I'm so sorry for the mix up!

3 .) I hope from here on out to be able to update twice a week for both this book and my other book "Permanent", and I will be aiming for Mondays and Fridays so be on the look out!

4.) Lastly, as I've been reading through my previous books I was considering making an updated 2024 version of "Our Hope". I wrote that so long ago now and my writing skills have improved, so my question for you guys is would you prefer to see a revised version of that book or create a wholw new story?

I believe that is everything so without further ado, I hope you enjoy this chapter!))

"I refuse," Hoseok said defiantly as he set Taehyung's phone onto the table rather harshly. The boy rose to his feet and made his way over to his elder until their faces were mere inches apart, "I said I'm staying."

"Hoseok... I-.... I.. Uhm," Jin could only stutter out in pure astonishment and unease.

Everyone in the room fell speechless at the drastic change in Hoseok's personality. The air became thick and suffocating as the next few moments passed without a single word uttered. During the time the group of six boys spent with their "slave", not once has he objected to doing anything asked of him and today alone he had done it twice.

Mark rose from his seat in preparation to stop the fellow slave from doing something he would later regret, especially to his owners, "Listen to them, Number 094, go home with your master. I will be fine, they just want to talk with me."

"They can talk to you with me right here." He shot back bitterly without breaking Jin's stare. His body language looked as though he was getting ready to attack like a feral animal at any moment.

More silence ensued until Taehyung approached and gently reached for their orange-haired boy's hand. The slight trembling of his elder's hand's did not go unnoticed by him though, "Hey, look at me please..." He spoke out as soft as he could make his voice.

It took a moment before he got any response, but slowly and surely, Hoseok turned his head so their eyes locked together.

"You're acting this way to protect, Mark, aren't you?" The boy asked more as a fact than a question. He analyzed his slave's face and saw the slightest hesitation before cupping Hoseok's cheeks into his own two hands, "We would not have asked these guys to help if we didn't trust them fully, and you trust us... Right?"

Almost instantly it felt as though Hoseok melted back to his usual self as he replied "More than I trusted anyone before..." without missing a beat.

"Then I'm begging you to please trust us right now," He pleaded sincerely, "We would not have asked these guys to help us if we didn't have our full trust in them. Mark is safe and we will not let anyone hurt him again, alright? But right now, me and you need to go home for the night."
