The Wake Up Calls (Camren)

Chapter 16-

Dinah-

Once Camila left everything went back to silence again. like it always did when she left the room.
Ally and Normani were quietly eating from their plates, being careful not to clutter their knives and forks in an attempt to keep any outbursts from Lauren to a minimum. the way Lauren was acting these days, anything the slightest bit annoying would set her off.
Once we had all finished eating we made our way back to the bus, there was no conversation about Camila but I could sense the words forming on the tip of Lauren's tongue but every time I looked at her she suppressed them and turned her head annoyed.
It took almost an hour to get back to the bus because of the traffic. It's hard to imagine that four girls from Fifth Harmony could go an hour without speaking a word. but it happened.
The van pulled to a stop inside the gates to the stadium and Ally opened her door hopping out of the front seat and clicking the door shut. The rest of us followed sliding along the seat uncomfortably and climbing out from the back of the van.
"I'm going to go see if Demi has the schedule for the next show." Ally took off in the direction towards Demi's bus.
"Yeah..." Normani turned to Lauren and I, "I'm gonna go see what she's up to as well." Her eyes looked from the left to her right before quickly taking off with Ally.
Thanks Mani. Now it was just the two of us.
There was an awkward silence as we both walked slowly towards the door to our bus. I walked behind her cautiously when she stopped and turned to me.
"What's going on? I know something's up with her and it kills me to see her like that. She looks like she has no life in her." her face was blank with only the emotion of sadness.
I looked down to my feet," I'm sorry I-"
"Dinah just tell me. What's happening that's so bad you can't tell me?"
I sighed. "Lauren it's not my place to say. I'm sorry it should come from Camila."
"I know but she won't talk to me about it! Every time I try I either get shut down by you or she just avoids the question! please Dinah this is killing me!"
I waited a few seconds looking around at my surroundings trying to decide whether I should risk Camila being mad at me and maybe never talking to me again, and tell Lauren. Or give her a slight hint at what's going on.

"Okay. But you have to promise not to ever tell her it came from me."
