—real life—

A month had gone by and Atlas left Vancouver to do press for Marvel Studios: Agatha All Along. So she packed her things and booked the first flight to LA. She wouldn't be joining the cast for a few days until the premiere in the city.

She had gotten there a day earlier and went to her house and unpacked. After sitting in her room, staring into space she got up.

She got dressed into normal clothes. She grabbed her phone and purse and went downstairs. She grabbed her keys and walked outside to her car. She got in and left. After a fifteen minute drive she arrived. Atlas got out of the car and walked up to the door, knocking. A few seconds later the door opened. "Atlas Quinn?"

She smiled, walking up to him and pulling him into a hug. "Patrick Schwarzenegger." She pulled away and he stepped back into the house. He held to door opened for her and stepped out of the way. "Come in." He said and she walked in.

He closed the door behind her and he walked them into his living room. He told her to sit down and went to the kitchen. "Want anything. Water, coffee, beer?" He asked, opening the fridge.

He grabbed our two beers and closed the door. He walked back over and held it out in front of her. She smiled and took the beer from him. "Thanks. You still drink these?" She asked and he took the cap off, she did the same. "You're the one who got me hooked." He said, taking a sip.

She tilted her head. "Hey, what can I say? I only know good drinks and how to have a good time." She said and he laughed. "Yeah, you do. Remember Ibiza?" He asked and she cringed. "Don't make me remember that." She said.

"We had to carry you back to the hotel."

Atlas scoffed. "You had a good time didn't you?" She said and he nodded his head. "Yeah. My dad was impressed on your performance and your drinking abilities. He said you were the first young girl to out drink him."

She shrugged her shoulders. "It's a gift."

He leaned back on the couch. "How've you been?" Patrick asked her and she tilted her head. "I'm doing alright. Left Vancouver to do press for marvel. I've been busy these few weeks. How about you?" She asked. "It's been good. I'm filming soon."

She nodded her head. "Gen V?"

He opened his mouth and smiled. "I'm not at liberty to discuss." He said and she scoffed. "Alright, fine. I guess I'll just have to call Jaz." Atlas said and he shook shrugged his shoulders. "Or, you could wait until it comes out? Ever think of that and not pry people open for answers?"

The smiled stayed on her face and she looked down at the drink in her hands. "You know me, I always like to know." She said. "Yeah, I do know you." He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "And I know something's up with you. You didn't just come to see an old friend, did you?" He asked, tilting his head.

The smile dropped from Atlas's face. She took a sip before looking at him. "No." She clears her throat and leaned back in her seat. "There's a lot going on. Between work and my personal life." She started to say. "I don't have all the answers to these questions I've been asking myself and I don't know what to do."

"What would be best for you? To let go of your relationships and focus on yourself and work?" He asked and she looked back at Patrick. "It might be." She said and he smiled at her. "Then there's your answer." He said.

They spent the next two hours catching up and drinking a few beers. In the back of her mind, she knew what she had to do. Even if it meant breaking her heart and losing someone she loves. But it would be for the best, for herself and for her future.

She had to break up with Austin.
