Sin's POV

I was feeling all types of emotions that I needed to release but I needed to keep them in check until I actually had the solid proof that I'm looking for.
That final nail in the coffin to solidify that Ms October was indeed a spy.

As I drove through Manhattan, I couldn't help but get a feeling of uneasiness. It was the same or close to the feeling that I'd felt after I heard the sound of a gunshot on the night of the cocktail party.

Something was off but i decided to ignore that feeling.

It was dark and slightly busy on the normal road to the penthouse and I wanted to drive alone, knowing that in the state I was in, I was more likely to cause road rage.

To avoid that I decided to take another route, one that was less used, mostly due to the fact that it was in the shady parts of the city. That didn't bother me a tad as I was familiar with these roads due to the rather indecent things that I was involved in.

The road was quiet and just what I needed.

As I drove through the lane, something caught my eye. The closer it got, the more visible.

It was a person, a person tied to a lamppost to be more precise.

For a second I'd taught that it was a lifeless person because, like I said, these parts of the city were notorious for the criminal activities that took place here.

My breath hitched in my throat the moment I realised that the person was actually moving. Not only were they moving but they were a familiar, way too familiar.

Ms October.

Questions on what why and how left my mind the moment I saw a light hit her, headlights. A red Audi was headed her direction in a speed that was too fast for comfort and it was clear to me that the driver had no plans on slowing down much less stopping.

On instinct my foot hit the accelerator of my car hard and my car sped up. Right before the Audi could close the distance between Gail and itself, I stopped mine right in between them.

A loud bang echoed in the air as the hood of the Audi hit the right side of my Bentley.

Then, silence.

My heart was racing when I looked to my right and took in the sight before me.

Gail was drenched, she was soaking wet, her eyes were closed and her head was turned to the side clearly bracing herself for what would've happened if I'd not intervened.

She hadn't registered what had just happed hence she remained that way.

I felt something tighten in my chest when I saw how she was tied to the lamppost. I was repulsed by how the rope dug into her skin.

You'd swear they were tying up an animal.

Turning my head to my right, I was overcome with rage as I saw the driver of the Audi lift their head after collecting themselves from the impact of our cars colliding.

Through the windshield, I saw a mask clad man.

With Gail being tied up and the perpetrators not wanting to be identified, I knew very well that whatever the man meant to do was intentional.

I took out my gun from my glove box and exited the car.

Walking straight to the red car.

The man in the car also stepped out, heading in my direction.

We came to a halt almost a metre apart.

"My my, if isn't the man, the myth and the legend himself." The man in the mask said.
