You’re laughing, standing with Reiji’s teammates, enjoying a rare break from their intense training sessions. Your boyfriend, Reiji, is a few feet away, watching you, though you can’t see his eyes on you as you chat with Hyoma Chigiri, who’s cracking a joke about Reo's and Seishiro's antics.

“You two fight like old married couple,” you tease, making Reo laugh along while Seishiro just looks away.

“It was Reo's fault,” Nagi adds lazily, swiping through something on his phone.

You grin, feeling the lightness of the moment. It’s not every day you get to relax like this, and you cherish the camaraderie among the team.

But Reiji? He’s not smiling. No, something is simmering beneath his cool exterior.

His fists tighten as he watches you. You’re standing just a little too close to them, laughing a little too easily at their jokes. The way Hyoma’s eyes light up when you talk, or how Seishiro’s usual detachment seems to melt when you’re around—it gnaws at Reiji.

Without warning, you feel a firm hand wrap around your wrist, pulling you away from the group. You glance up in surprise, meeting Reiji’s sharp gaze.

"Hey, Reiji, what—" you start, but he cuts you off, his grip firm and unyielding as he leads you toward the more isolated part of the field.

“Reiji, wait! Where are we going?”

He doesn’t answer, his pace quick and determined. You look back toward the others, seeing the confused expressions on their faces as Reiji drags you further away from the group. The once-light atmosphere now feels suffocating, and your heart quickens in your chest.

Finally, he stops, pushing you up against the wall, his body looming over you. His white irises lock onto you, intense and unblinking. His long black hair is slightly disheveled from the wind, and his twin moles beneath each eye seem to accentuate the coldness in his gaze.

“Reiji, what’s wrong with you?” you ask, your voice softer now, tinged with concern.

“You,” he says flatly, the word hanging in the air between you two. “You’re what’s wrong.”

You blink, caught off guard by the harshness of his tone. “What are you talking about?”

His lips curl into a bitter smile. “Why were you laughing with them? Acting so friendly? They’re not your boyfriends—I am.” His voice is low, dangerously quiet.

You open your mouth to explain, but the words don’t come. You’ve never seen him like this before.

“They’re your friends-- teammates, Reiji..am I not supposed to be friendly with them? You're overreacting.”

“Overreacting?” he scoffs, stepping closer, crowding you against the wall. “I don’t think so. You should be paying attention to me, not them. What do they have that I don’t, huh?”
