Tycho Black.

I was gone before they woke up. Not that I wanted to go to school or something. I just figured it'd be easier to get an early start.

Since I left early I didn't have a ride so I was stuck walking. This usually wasn't a bad thing- it wouldn't be if I still lived at my old house, but now I'm staying with them, and their house is a fifteen-minute drive to campus. On the bright side, I had plenty of time to look over the various emails left by my professors. My assignments were more than backed up but I was more than glad to have something to distract myself. I also lucked out a bit when it came to the book smarts department; I'm not stupid. I knew that. But it felt like that often.

It was warm by the time I reached school. Other students were starting to show up, mentally preparing themselves in their cars before entering the building's front doors. Alexei still wasn't due to leave the house for a few more minutes. I wonder if they realized I left. I wonder if they care I did?

Dragging my feet through the halls, I realized I was getting a bit more attention than normal. This wasn't high school, so people didn't actually have the time or patience to chat in between lectures, so whatever they seemed so intent on finding on my face must've been important. Then it hit me. Forget about being smart, I feel like I just walked into a damn lion's den because my pride was too fucking big to notice that I was being hunted by the football team's fanbase. As in, most of the fucking school.

My theory was confirmed when a few nameless third-stringers walked past me, quietly mentioning Louis's sexuality. I scoffed at the immaturity. "The fuck are you, twelve? Stop talking about shit that doesn't concern you. Especially when you fucking suck at football." They looked shocked and angry at my response but I didn't feel like waiting for their retaliation. As much as I wanted to hit them, I walked away.

The day continued on with the annoying ass looks and comments. Between classes, in classes, hell- even in the fucking restroom I had people throwing insults my way in Louis' name. I wanted to spit back like I did earlier, but the more people said shit about it the more I thought about it, and the more I realized I deserved their harassment.

As much as I didn't agree with Louis' lifestyle, he seemed like an okay guy. I don't know if I regret calling him the shit I called him, but I do regret ever meeting him. I feel like life would've just been easier if I never talked to him. If only I had just stayed quiet and stayed home like I always did.

It was around four. I was in my final class of the day, but I couldn't focus at all because of the shit I had on my mind. Out of all of my old teammates I've seen so far today, I haven't actually seen the man of the hour yet. I usually see Louis at least twice during the day- once at lunch and once between my second and third classes. But I haven't seen him at all. I guess he wasn't here. I wonder if it's a coincidence he didn't show up the day I came back.

The class ends. I'm frustrated because I haven't learned a damn thing today. But now that school has ended for the day I don't know where to go. I could walk back to where I'm staying and have to face them. I don't even know what to call them anymore. I wanted to say they were annoying or uncomfortable to be around but if I'm honest I genuinely don't know how to feel around the three anymore. I don't like thinking about them. I don't like saying their names. I never want to see them again and it hurts to be here. The most overwhelming feeling washed over me and I wanted to fucking cry. I aimlessly walked out of campus, not caring where I ended up as long as I wasn't there.

"Hey, Tycho!" I froze, fearing whoever was calling my name. I didn't want to be seen but I couldn't think of a kind way to say 'fuck off' right now. I turn around but actually feel relieved at who I see. It's Alexei, walking away from his group of friends about thirty yards from me. Max is next to him. The group gives me death glares and I shamefully look away. Not before I notice someone I didn't notice before. Alexei jogs up in front of me, looking up with a smile on his face.
