Chapter 9

Next week,

It was Moon's hearing day. She was all ready to face the world. She let out a deep breathe as she was standing in front of mirror. She closed her eyes and after a few minutes of reviving the past, she opened her eyes.

Her family, company, group mates asked her many times about what happened 9 years ago. But every time, she ignored all those questions.

Time skips,

She got on court's hedge while the judge and the jury sat in their places. As Moon herself confessed that she was the criminal, so she had no lawyer at that time. Even though, her family and company appointed lawyer for her but it was no of use as Moon was not clear about what happened.

Moon looked around the court room. Opposite of her, there was Yeong-suk and her mother sitting beside their lawyer. Sun-hi's younger sister, Yeong-suk's eyes had hatred for her. She had seen this hatred before too. But still it hurt her. She curved her fists into ball in order to be able to handle her hatred. Yeong-suk's mother had an expression which showed an unknown care also despite hearing that the killer of her daughter was Moon. She had a certain pity for Moon.

There were her mother and uncle sitting there. Their eyes showed concern for her. But as usual, her father was not there. Most probably he would be in some meetings with clients. Of course, he would. As for him, Moon only brought shame to the family. She was not surprised honestly.

The prosecutor brought one by one Moon's school mates who were once at least bullied by her. They gave their statements against her.

"Lord, I would like to call our last witness for today." The prosecutor said.

"You may." The judge allowed.

A girl in her 20s entered and got onto the witness box. Moon was not able to recognise her to her surprise. But she looked incredibly beautiful. She touched the bible and had an oath to speak the truth.

"Ms. Park, did Ms. Lee ever bully you? Or have you seen her bullying others?" The prosecutor asked.

"Yes." the girl replied and explained her situation.

"That's all, my lord. I think it's enough for her to be punished for her sins." The prosecutor said.

"Ani..." the girl said which made everyone look at her with shock expressions. The judge asked her to speak clearly what she wanted to say.

"Miyeon was a bully. She used to bully, used to taunt us. I agree. But she is not a killer. She didn't kill Sun-hi and everyone can guarantee that. I don't know what happened exactly that caused Sun-hi to commit suicide or why Miyeon is saying that she killed her or something. But I am 100% sure that she didn't do that. She could bully the world but she couldn't and wouldn't bully Sun-hi ever. Sun-hi was the life of their lives. Sun-hi's background and social status were different from them but they never saw her as a different one. They always saw her as their own. And honestly she didn't bully anyone to the point that someone would kill herself or anything. I can guarantee everyone from class 2015 would agree to the point that she somewhere made us strong and fight against our weakness." The girl said and then looked at Miyeon and said, "A weak duckling with red stain." and smiled at her.

March, 2015

Young Miyeon was walking around the school building as she got punishment of standing outside. She was strolling and sucking on a lollipop while keeping her one hand in her pocket. She was looking a little badass bitch. Suddenly she saw some senior girls were laughing at a girl whose skirt had blood stain. They were teasing the girl while she was curved up into a ball being shy and afraid.

Those girls left her there without helping and went back to their classes. Miyeon went towards the girl and scoffed. "Weak duckling."

Hearing her voice, that girl were more embarrassed and almost was about to cry. "Aww....now this weak duckling with red stains gonna cry? Oh no! What do I do?" she mimicked and taunted.

The girl only stared at her. She was getting angry and showing her glares but with an afraid expression. "Oh you can glare too? Too bad, it's not gonna work on your stains, weak duckling." Miyeon said and turned around to go.

Suddenly the girl felt a cloth on her. She removed the cloth and checked it. It was Miyeon's jacket. "Oh too much hot weather." Miyeon said to herself but in a voice that was audible to that girl.

Miyeon was going away from there but with a smile while the girl stared at Miyeon's disappearing figure with gratitude.

After that, they were many times when she used to taunt and bully her and call her names but in other way, she actually used to always help her with something.

Present,

"One second, you said they, them, their. It means someone else are also involved." The prosecutor asked.

Moon gestured her with her eyes as no. The girl replied, "I didn't know them that well. So I don't remember. Them means her friends. But I don't remember the names."

The court decided the next hearing after two days as jury needed time to understand situation. The final decision would be decided on that day only. Till then, the court ordered for her to be in police custody only.

Later at night,

The company asked the six girl to return back to Seoul. But no one was ready to go. So finally the company agreed to let them stay in Busan but the condition was that no one could attend the court or go outside. They had to stay in the hotel room only.

Beom Seok went to the hotel to Haejin. The six girls were in one room only holding their phones waiting for any news about Moon. As they heard a knock on door, Soul went to receive the door. She opened the door and saw Beom Seok standing there. Haejin asked Soul about who was there at the door. Seeing Beom Seok, she shut the door without saying anything. But eventually Soul let him enter.

Beom Seok entered the room slowly as if there was no life left in him and sat on a chair.

"Where were you? Why didn't go to court?" she was about to ask more when she suddenly realised his situation and the messy looks, the messy hair, the dark circles under the eyes, the red eyes as if he cried a lot.

"What happened, oppa?" Yerin asked.

"Is Moon eonnie okay?" Aerum asked.

"You know you are making us scared." Bora said.

Beom Seok started crying. He didn't know to tell his sister that the person she cared for, her nana, was no more. His heart was breaking only thinking about it then how he gonna disclose it? She would be broken.

"Beom Seok, what happened?" Haejin asked. Beom Seok hugged her body and kept crying only. The other girls decided to give them space and so that they left the room. The whole night, he cried holding her in his arms and Haejin let him hold her.
