Tainted Heart

Chapter 23

Returning to hotel after their most probable last concert, they were all overwhelmed with emotions. Amidst all these, Moon always felt someone's presence behind her time to time. But she shrugged it off thinking it as her hallucination as every time, she looked behind, she found no one. She then shrugged it off thinking it as any of their staff or bodyguards.

At midnight,

Yunhee came to Moon as she was craving for some spicy food and wanted to have a cheat meal day.

"You want to go now? Without telling others?" Moon asked.

"They all are sleeping or else would I miss Minji, my soulmate?" Yunhee  said. Minji aka Aerum was her soulmate and bestie in the group as they were literal same age.

"Okay. Let me grab my purse and hoodie. We gotta be quiet." Moon said.

Moon and Yunhee sneaked out from the hotel. Even while sneaking out, she felt someone watching her. She couldn’t decide whether to tell Yunhee that or not.

Time skips,

After approximately one hour, they came back to hotel after trying as much street food as they could.

"Wah, what a nice date!" Yunhee exclaimed happily.

Moon chuckled. "Date?" Yunhee nod vigorously. "American street food date with my eonnie." she squealed and Moon watched her. Yunhee grabbed her arms and held her hand and started to walk like a kid.

Yunhee seemed cold when she first saw her at the competition. But in real, she was a real sweetheart. She just didn’t know how to show her happy side. But Moon guessed that she grew up well. Moon didn’t know why but she always reminded her of that person, who she wanted to forget then, Min Yoongi. Perhaps it was just her jealousy and insecurities talking. But she didn’t have any rights to be jealous. Who was she? No one. Just a band mate of his girlfriend and just an idol of a girl group under his company lebel.

Yunhee and Moon stopped as they suddenly realised that they lost their way to their hotel room. They were at downstairs only and couldn’t find the way to elevator.

"We. Forgot. Our. Way?" Yunhee said in horror. The clock was showing the time as 2:48 AM. Moon was looking here and there and thought to ask at reception just when someone asked, "Are you lost?"

Moon and Yunhee couldn’t see the face as there was only dim light which was not enough.

"We lost the way to elevator." Yunhee said.

The man started to describe the way. Moon was looking at the man trying to see his face. She was feeling something was wrong. But before she could say something, Yunhee pulled her away thanking that man. Yunhee was pulling her but her instinct was saying someone was following them. Her heart started feeling a certain fear, not for herself, but for Yunhee. She didn’t deserve any of these. Before she could do anything, she felt someone pushing her into a room. She immediately left Yunhee's hand but Yunhee didn’t let it go and ended up locked in that room with her.

It took some moments to understand what happened. But that person already successfully locked them in that room. They realised the room wasn’t any normal room. It was a frozen storage room. The whole room was getting cold to colder to coldest by every minutes. Yunhee sat down on the floor feeling cold. Moon hugged the younger one to give her body heat. She was trying everything that she could.

"I am sorry. I am so sorry. It's all my fault." Yunhee said.

"Ssshhh..." Moon hushed her. She held her tightly and using her free hand, she grabbed her phone trying to see if she could call anyone. The storage room filled with darkness and cold. The whole room was dark. Yunhee and Moon even couldn’t even see themselves as there was no light except some machines but it was so dim that nothing could be seen with that. Darkness, cold and losing people, three things that Moon feared of and it was right infront of her. It was extremely cold and dark. Yunhee was there and anything could happened to her in this cold. She took off her hoodie and wrapped it around as the poor girl was shivering.

Moon saw her phone was already dead. Moon took Yunhee's phone and it was not getting any signal at all. Moon just sat down with Yunhee massaging her body.

Moon could feel her own heartbeat beating faster. Her fear started to grasping her no matter how she tried to get herself distract from it. She closed her eyes.

Winter season,

A little girl was playing in her house when suddenly her eyes caught up something which hurt her heart and accidentally she fell on cold swimming pool water. She couldn’t swim. She flattered her hands, legs trying to be saved. The cold water wasn’t helping. While trying to be saved, her head hit the cold tiles and started bleeding causing her unconsciousness. She started to drown. It hurt but what more hurts was her little heart.

A group of seven years old making fun of one as her father never came to school. They started teasing them saying that she had no father. She was fatherless that's what their parents told. She was their laughing stock when suddenly one of them pushed her into a room and locked her saying they didn’t need someone like her in the class. Even though she yelled, cried to let her go and open the door. No one was listening.

Yunhee suddenly felt a heavy weight on her body. She looked at Moon in horror. She realised that Moon's body was extremely cold as if she was frozen. She shook her body a bit. But nothing happened. She lost her consciousness.

"Eonnie, eonnie....open your eyes. Please...please. Eonnie..." Yunhee started shaking her body but nothing was happening. What more happening was her nose started bleeding. Yunhee was feeling cold too. She was shivering too. But at that very moment, she was cared about only Moon. She took off the hoodie that Moon gave her and wrapped around her. She got up and tried to find signal to call anyone. But she wasn’t getting any.

"It's all my fault. Eonnie....eonnie. Please wake up. Please." she started crying and begging.

Yunhee started banging on the door as hard as she could and as much as she could. But of course, she was feeling cold too. Her body started to give up too. She fell down on floor. Her legs were feeling jammed. She couldn’t move. All she could do was cry and stare at Moon's unconscious body lying on floor at a bit distance from her.

Moon's body almost jammed in cold. She couldn’t move a single part of her body. Her mind was in a daze. Thinking so many things but body was unconscious. Even through her unconsciousness, she felt the storage room's door opened. She felt some people entered the room. Her breathe was shallow. Her eyesight was blur but she could see a little. But the thing, she saw made her heart drop. Yoongi approaching Yunhee first taking her in his arms and carry her out without even looking at her. Why would he tho? But what could she do? It hurt her. Probably she was just dreaming but she knew reality would be the same. A tear escaped from her eyes. Her eyes slowly closed leaving her mind and heart in its darkness.
