Chapter 14

Yoongi went to his room and lied down on bed staring at the ceiling.

It all started when Twilight just debuted. He didn't know how many girls debuted or what but he knew his little cousin debuted as a rapper just like him. You can say Yunhee's inspiration was him only. Her love for music and rap came from him only.

Yunhee struggled for 3 years in Seoul until she debuted in Twilight with Hybe. She had her brother to support her in Seoul but she chose not to get any help. She chose to work hard. If he wanted, he could help Yunhee but he knew how she was. Stubborn, self-respectful, hard working. She wanted to earn her place in the industry without any help. It was not like she was less proud of her brother. In fact, she was really proud of him but she wanted him to have same proudness for her as she had for him.

To protect her from getting bullied or trolled by haters, he didn't let anyone know about the truth behind their relationship, not even his and her own people. But as he always acted protective for her, people started having different ideas. At first, they thought it as a problem but with time, they realised that people were actually supportive. So Yoongi let the situation be itself.

But the siblings duo didn't know that they were unintentionally hurting an already insecure soul who used to have peace of mind just by looking at him.

Two days after Twilight's debut, 2022

Yoongi could feel the debut and the after debut was tiring for her because as soon as she entered her apartment, she collapsed on her couch with her shoes on.

Her bag was on the floor. Everything was messed up, so dirty.

"Ya...Min Yunhee. Have some basic manners. So unclean of a girl." Yoongi said.

"ShUT uP. I aM tIrEd..." Yunhee mumbled with her eyes closed.

Shaking his head and sighing, he started to clean and take her stuffs one by one from the floor and put those things back in their places when he suddenly found a diary among her stuffs.

He got confused and picked up the diary. He knew it was not Yunhee's as on that diary, the name of its owner was curved in calligraphically words.

"Lee Miyeon." Yoongi read. He turned one page and it was something written there in calligraphically.

"ᴛʜᴇ ᴍᴏᴏɴ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ sᴋʏ ɪs ʟᴏɴᴇʟʏ ᴀɴᴅ sᴏ ᴀᴍ ɪ." Yoongi read.

His curiousity grew. But it was a bad manner to read someone's diary especially when one didn't even know the person. So she closed the diary and kept on Yunhee's table along with her other books.

Weeks passed. Yoongi and Yunhee got busy with their work schedule but what Yoongi's mind didn't forget was that diary and the words, the name '𝘓𝘦𝘦 𝘔𝘪𝘺𝘦𝘰𝘯'

Then one day, his good boy patience broke and he searched for the diary. To his surprise, the diary was at the same place that he kept at. He secretly took the diary and kept to himself.

He didn't know Miyeon at that time at all nor met her. But he had her diary with him as her depositum. Even though he wanted to go through the diary, his morals were not supportive towards his desire.

Two days later,

He had a hard time shooting for run bts episode for hours. He came back to his apartment late at night being tired as hell. He let his body lie down on bed when his eyes caught up the sight of the diary and his mind reminisced of the words scrambled there together.

'𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝚖𝚘𝚘𝚗 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚔𝚢 𝚒𝚜 𝚕𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚕𝚢 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚜𝚘 𝚊𝚖 𝙸."

He let his morals sink down for a moment and got up to read the diary. He sat in his study with the diary, wearing his glasses to read the diary.

He turned over the pages. There were written about some special events with dates. It seemed like the owner of the diary stopped writing long ago as the last date was May 20, 2015.

"25 April, 2013,
Eomma and Appa's marriage anniversary,

As usual, eomma spent all her day to bake cake for him while appa was busy having dinner with his business clients. Like always, eomma kept waiting till appa came home. It was almost midnight. Eomma thinks I don't notice anything. But who would tell her? Like always, they had an argument after appa got home and as always, after the fight, appa left to his study room leaving her alone crying. They say they married each other for love. Then where is their love? Why don't I see it? Or is love only like this? What's love?" He read. He could smell her broken family's fragrant. He suddenly got an urge to hold Miyeon and tell her that she was not alone and he was there with her.

He turned over few more pages and kept reading more that he didn't even realise the time. He forgot his tiredness. He was so focused on it. He even didn't realise when he fell asleep.

Present,

Yoongi got up from the bed and went to the balcony. He was strolling here and there thinking about Moon. Whether she was alright or not. One thing he was sure about was the past few weeks weren't easy for her, for her family, friends or her fans. But the most suffered person was her. He thought what she was doing right then.

In these years, he actually felt a certain affection towards her. The respect towards her was there from the start only when he started reading her diary. But when he met in real life, the feelings got stronger and the affection and respect turned into a kind of liking. He wouldn't really name it as love yet.

Both had liking for each other. But no one knew it before. Although Yoongi got to know that day from Yunhee that Moon had feelings for him but Moon didn't know and she still had the misconception of Yoongi and Yunhee being couple. Although Yoongi can't really blame the poor girl as he only created the situation.

Now it was time for him to wait to see where life was going to lead them. Do this liking for each other stay as only liking or it takes turn to some other level?
