"Start talking." Moon said as she and Beom Seok sat in a corner table of Hybe cafe. "Did you go to my parent's house? "
She asked."I did." Beom Seok sighed. "Noona..." he held her hands in his palm. "I think you should visit home once or talk to ahjumma properly." Beom Seok said but Moon didn't say anything.
"You realised right? Ever since you came to Seoul, you didn't go back to home that much? And in these two years, you ignored ahjumma's calls saying you are busy when you were not. She misses you a lot." Beom Seok said.
Moon didn't say anything. Her face had a cold expression. But then she said, "I will go whenever I get time."
Beom Seok looked at Moon as he knew she won't. "Fineee....I will, okay? Now stop looking at me like this. You look ugly." she said and stuffed a piece of chicken in his mouth.
Beom Seok laughed. "By the way, my parents miss you too. Specially appa...your cool ahjussi."
"Using my love for ahjussi, are we?" Moon asked biting on her chicken wings.
"A bit." Beom Seok said as he laughed.
"Grow up, you 21 years old giraffe." Moon said taunting playfully.
"You are short. What can I do, shorty?" Beom Seok teased.
"Ya, I am elder than YOU? DO YOU WANNA DIE?" she threated jokingly.
"Always using noona card." Beom Seok retorted and fed her from his dish.
They were having their cute sibling banter while a figure watched their banter from a bit far than them.
Time skips,
Two days later,"Can we record my verse in advance?" she asked Madam Shin and the other members of her group.
"Well, we can. But why?" Madam Shin asked her whereas the other six gave each other looks.
"I was thinking to go to my parent's house this weekend and stay there for a while." She said and Madam nod and said, "Yeah, okay. Then it's decided."
The others were also okay with this as they knew she used to work hard everyday even in weekends and hardly returned to Busan to visit her family but works.
Time skips,
Weekend,Moon landed in Busan in the afternoon and very well hidden went back to her house. She was sitting in the living room. Her mother, Lee Chae-yeon, rushed to kitchen and served food for her abd said, "Miyeon-ah, see I made your favourite dishes. Kimchi, Ttaekbokki and chicken ramen. You like it so much. I still remember." she was saying and was looking at her. Moon didn't move an inch which made her sad but she smiled again and dragged gently her to the dining table.
Moon sat down on the chair. "Try...try this.." her mother served each dishes a little to her plate. "I remember you liked Kimchi's sour flavour when you were young. Try this, okay?" she was hoping that she would like all of those.
"You can sit too." Moon said in a low tone and took chopsticks to start eating while her mother admired her watching her eating the dishes she made for her. There was a huge distance created by the time. They grew distant so there was a awkwardness between them.
"It's tasty..." she said in a low tone. Her mother smiled and said, "I am glad you like it." Moon missed eating homemade foods like this. Bora and Aerum used to bring food from their houses and it would made her miss her mother's handmade food more. But the distance was so much that she never came back even though she missed it. But her mother managed to send food through Beom Seok for a couple of times.
"Chae-yeon-ah, where is my blue file?" Lee Byeong-Ho, Moon's father asked when his gaze fell on Miyeon. Miyeon stopped eating and was about to stand up to leave from there but her mother stopped her by holding her hands and pleaded her not to go. Moon sat down.
"I will find you later. Now join us for food." Chae-yeon smiled looking at her husband. Moon didn't react anything. Her face was visual represent of rock. Byeong-Ho sat beside his wife abd started eating. There was pin drop silence until Byeong-Ho decided to break, "So you finally decided to come back?"
Moon didn't reply. She was looking straight without blinking. She almost twisted the chopsticks and stood up without saying anything. She turned to her mother and bowed, "Thanks for the food." saying she left the house.
Chae-yeon looked at her husband first and then at her daughter's disappearing figure. Byeong-Ho had no reaction. He just focused on eating. Chae-yeon shook her head and went behind Moon. She called for her. "Miyeon, stop."
Miyeon went outside of the house by then. She rushed behind her and stopped her. "Miyeon-ah, please." she held her hands.
"Eommaa...you forgot everything. I didn't. I am tired of showing the world that I have a happy and perfect family when there is no truth. I am fed up of this. Please call me when you decide to stand up for yourself." Moon said.
"Miyeonah, we are a family. We need to stay together. Every family has problems. Please don't go." her mother requested.
"We were never a family. A family consists mom, dad and kids. You were there but what about appa? He was not there when I needed, when you needed. For that man, only work, money and reputation matters." She said.
"Eomma, we are living in a facade. You enjoy living in this facade life. You enjoy living in this toxic household but I don't. And I swear when you divorce him, I would be the happiest." She said.
"Miyeon!!" her mother almost raised her hands on her but stopped. "I didn't mean to...I swear. I love you, honey. I gave you birth. I am sorry...I didn't mean to. Please..."
"You once again choose your husband over your daughter. Congratulations, Mrs. Lee." she scoffed as she was hurt.
"I didn't mean to. I swear. I love him. You won't understand unless you fall in love." her mother said crying.
"Fine. We will talk when you decide for yourself." She said and gulped the lump she was holding for a long time and left from there.
"Miyeon...Miyeon-ah. Stop...STOP." her mother kept pleading.
Moon felt cold suddenly. It was not like her father was someone who cheated on his mother or something. It was just he was never there as a dad when she needed. For him, work, money and his reputation mattered more than his family, his wife and daughter. She remembered clearly how he used to treat her mother. How they used to fight and fight all the time when she was young. Her mother tried her best not to let Moon know about their problems but Moon knew and saw everything.
It was dark already. She had been walking in the streets for a few hours. At first, she was a bit sad but with time, her mood felt good and she bought some things for her group members as a gift from a fair near the Busan sea. The moon's light was showing its reflection in the sea water and it was looking really beautiful. She stopped to watch.
Two lonely moons watching each other. She posted on her personal weverse with picture of Moon and clicked a few of her cute snaps so that her group members and her fans. In the snaps, she looked cute and happy but was she happy? She looked at the sea and thought if she was really happy.
